I can't stand Reyes either but you can't deny that he's a pain in the ass to deal with when he gets on base.  I didn't include Rollins, Ramirez or Soriano because they should be hitting lower in the lineup.



Other news:  Mike Cameron was suspended for the first 25 games of 2008 because of what he claims was a tainted nutritional supplement.  yeah ok

I didn't realize you were differentiating between leagues.  And I wasn't specifically coming down on Pierre either.  He's a good player but he doesn't walk enough and he has absolutely no power - not even doubles power.  He also routinely has more outs than anyone else in the major leagues.  Sure, a lot of that has to do with him getting a ton of at-bats, but a great leadoff hitter gets on base and he just doesn't, IGY.  Not enough to be considered elite, anyway.
