Yes, the internet bacon joke thing has gotten way out of hand, but that doesn't make it any less true.  Sausage is farging delicious but bacon is about 100x more useable.  You can put bacon on/in pretty much anything and it makes it better.  Sausage has limited capabilities.  Anything you can put sausage on you can also put bacon on, but not the other way around. 

Some things you can't improve with sausage:

Burgers
Loaded Baked Potato
Salad
BLT
Sausage Wrapped Chicken?  Fail.
Mashed Potatos
Shrimp


In short, bacon wins because of it's versatility.  Name one thing that you can add sausage to but not bacon.  Just one.

we had a bacon pizza last night and the farghead actually put the bacon under the cheese.  seriously... what is it about pizza toppings that is so hard to figure out?  toppings go ON TOP of the pizza, not under the cheese.
