Rome, when you're on a call and your cheek decides to make love to the mute or end call button...or it decides to make a 3-way call to one of your contacts that you have spoken to in 3 years, write back and tell us your experience.

I've never had that happen to me.  You must have really fat cheeks or something.  I've had very few problems with my phone since getting it.  Coverage/signal strength is my biggest issue.  But that's because I live in a desert and I'd have the same problem with any other carrier as well.  Need more towers.

Having said that, I'll likely be getting rid of my iphone and going back to a more basic phone in about 18 mo when my contract is up.  Nothing wrong with the phone at all....I love it.  But I've had my ipad for a few weeks now and love that thing too.  So when my contract is up, I'll downgrade the phone and upgrade to an ipad 3g (or whatever #g version they have at the time).  Don't see the point in paying data charges on 2 devices.

Also, I downloaded this app on my ipad called Zinio.  It's basically a one stop shop for magazine subscriptions and it gave me my choice of trial subscriptions to several different mags.....Nat Geo, Car & Driver, etc.  I went with The Sporting News because it gave me 60 free issues.  Farg yeah.

Are telling me that you never hit the hold button during a call? I find that impossible.

The sensitivity sensor light (or whatever its called) comes on when the phone is taken away from your cheek at like 2 inches--even after the software update. Apple expects you to be a friggin mannequin on the phone and not move around. Its intuitiveness is unquestioned, but its calling abilities are a crying shame.

If not for the 10% restocking fee that would be enough for me to return this bitch.

Not once.

Maybe you just make too many sudden movements when you're talking.  Do you furiously whack it when you're on the phone?

Rome's iPhone is more evidence of government employees being overpaid.

Should I not be? That was not in the owners manual.

Your face is evidence in a case of failed eugenics.

It was only a matter of time until that happened.  It's been rumored for months.

Also, my 97.5 app doesn't work.  It doesn't crash upon start up or anything, it just never plays audio.  If I click on "background" and to stream it through Safari I keep getting a message that says it can't access that page.  I know there's an update to the phone that I need to download and install so I'm hoping that will fix the problem.  The app has always been very finicy though so it could be something that The Phanatic needs to fix on their end as well.  Anyone else experience this?

Also, iPad 2 likely to be released in April.  Other than the addition of the camera, it doesn't seem like they are making any improvements to it that would make current iPad owners want to rush out and buy one......except for the Apple morons who just have to have the latest and greatest Apple products.  I've heard that they may offer a 128gb iPad, but this particular article doesn't mention it specifically, only that there will be an increase in RAM.

so the iphone will go from att zesty service to verizons zesty service and crap pricing. thank god it's finally happening.

I argued over the whole att/verizon issue a while back, and I can honestly say my iphone and att service has been horrendous for 6 months. I never had an issue with them for 10 years.

Im sure the consensus polls out there say verizon has the better network, so the easy answer would be to head on over to verizon now, but its almost a guarantee that when all these millions of new iphone users hop on board verizons service is going to take a nose dive as well.
