Agreed.  According to the pick value chart, this would mean Simeon Rice straight up is worth the 21st overall pick.

He's 33 and coming off a season where he only played 8 games and only had 2 sacks.

That wasn't an awful idea considering they were cap strapped, and absolutely knew they could get their guy two spots later for a cheaper price. Otherwise, it was stupid. You have a top 10 prospect you want but you risk losing him over a few dollars? Dumbasses. It isnt like the league wouldnt allow them to sign McKinney anyways.

It's all about the money:

My guess is that the NFL knows that VW will pay Urlacher back, so they fined him for how much it would have cost to pay for the advertising legitimately.
