big loss to Charlotte tonight

ice grillin you

with only seven games left its fairly safe to say that any teams +/- 2 of the sixers are not going to effect them (there are two teams kings @ 24 and indy @ 28 within 2 games)

so really it comes down three teams fighting for the seventh pick with an advantage to the sixers ('winnable' games)

clippers - 27 (ny - @ sac - gs)
knicks - 26 (@ sac - @ gs - @ lac - @ ind - was - @ tor)
sixers - 26 (tor - det)

i'm not excited about anyone at 7.  i hate cole aldrich and even as a georgetown fan i wouldn't touch greg monroe.  i guess ed davis would be a pick there but not too sold on him either. maybe udoh or patterson.

ice grillin you

yeah its a pretty vanilla draft....theres two players that jump out to me in the whole draft...wall of course and hassan whiteside...his upside is ridiculous

he wont be ready for a couple years but they can work him in until then and hope he explodes around the time they will have some cap money

i really like aldrich as a college player but he's definitely one of those guys who probably won't do much at the pro level.  he's kind of a lighter, but more skilled version of todd mccullough.  that said, if he has a career even remotely similar to mac's, then it's a huge success for him.  i'd rather see him stay at kansas for his senior year but i can't really blame him for chasing the cash since there's nothing by way of big men this year which automatically improves his stock.

i wouldnt say hes chasing the cash because thats usually reserved for people who are going out way to early...he has no upside whatsoever...he is what he is and there nothing another year of college can do for him...

when john wall turns out to be the next AI i say we all burn down ed stefanski's house for not tanking and not getting enough lotto balls. in fact i say we do it anyway.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

the reason i say he's chasing the cash is because this year, he's the top center in the draft so he will most definitely get drafted higher now than if he waited until next year.  obviously he's about maxed out as far as his upside/potential goes so the extra year of college won't really make him any/much better.  the only reason i wanted to see him stay for his senior year is because i like kansas and he's an important part of that team, not because i think he needs to work on his game.

how big is the detroit game? some real chances to move up in the draft now.

looking pretty good through 3 qtrs.  down by 11.  a little less effort on the quart and this game can be out of reach in no time.

MDS

3 games is a lot for detroit, gs and dc to make up but it can be done.

either way this is terrific effort, exactly what you want to see. if only it could have started sooner.
