you're the type of fan we make fun on ExtremeSkins.

not positive?  you have no farging clue, I go to every home game and root my ass off.  but i farging understand football, and i know what i'm watching.

this team's defense is awful and will probably keep them from the playoffs.  that doesn't mean i don't want them there.

but by all means, put your head in the sand and send your tough guy messages to people who disagree with you, that's so much cooler.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Everyone else is pretty much negative and never has anything good to say.  So...at least this keeps me from getting pissed and posting to people i don't like.

Listen fargstick, you don't get to define me as an Eagle fan.  I have been through some pretty zesty seasons, yet I continue to support the team I love by buying season tickets and jerseys every year.  So just because I say the are not going to run the table you want to come after me?  You belong over at ES, not here pal.

Nah...i thought i'd get myself banned because there are very few people like you on this board Munson.  Positive outlook and decent stuff like that.  Everyone else is pretty much negative and never has anything good to say.  So...at least this keeps me from getting pissed and posting to people i don't like.

Well I just think it's dumb to rule the team out, just like it's dumb to say they will run the table. The way this season has been, it could go either way. And in certain scenero's, they could go 1-2 in the next 3 games and still make the playoffs.

That's why I'm interested in hearing what everyone thinks of the Cowboys/Falcons game next week. If the Falcons win and we beat NYG, that makes the Eagles/Cowboys game 2 weeks from now for the divsion lead. If the Cowboys beat the Falcons, then it further cements us into the Wildcard picture, regaurdless of the Birds/Giants outcome this Sunday. We could lose the next two games, and (assuming the Panthers continue to collapse and the Vikings realize they suck) still get into the playoffs if the Falcons lose this week AND to us in week 17.

Sooo...would you all rather have the very slim shot at winning the division, or have the bigger chance of getting into the playoffs as a wildcard? The Cowboys/Falcons game will have a big impact on what the Eagles hope to do.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

When McNabb went down, i was thinking draft.  Now...i think differently because their play has put them in a position to challenge for a playoff spot/division title.  You may root at every home game and i root from my home in Texas just as hard.

So yeah...maybe i did jump on you but i felt like doing it and i did.

Munson, who do the Giants play the final 2 weeks of the season?

I'd rather just get into the playoffs.  It doesn't matter how it happens.  In the first round they'd either play the Seahawks or NFC East winner.  Either one could be beaten and then they get to go have their head kicked in by the Bears or Saints.

Wildcard. I don't think we can win in texas.

Anyway...back to Munson's question.

The playoffs are well within reach.  Jones/M. Barber can be stopped.  Tiki can have a bad day.  It's up to the offense to play well and keep them in a position to win.

That's kind of what I'm leaning to. But in an Eagles/Cowboys game, anything can happen. I think if they got pressure on Romo like the Saints did, they might be able to steal the win. But I think the road to getting the wildcard is just easier to do.
