Oh my God he's awful.   Just a lying despicable weasel that has to lose at any cost.

Yes, "At Any Cost", should be the campaign battle cry of the Demos. Lie, cheat and steal, by hook or crook.

Munson

They could find legal ways to cheat, like passing laws that prevent large chunks of republican voters from being able to easily vote to combat a made up voter fraud issue

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

You mean laws like having to have a photo id to vote? Like you need to cash a check in a bank or anywere else? To get medical care, anything done in the MVA, buy alcohol, buy cigarettes, get scripes of controlled substances, get a loan, or just about anything else that you need to be over 21 or just prove that you are who you say you are? That kind of law?

...and if you truly believe that 'voter fraud' is made up, you are more naive than I ever knew you were.

None of those things are rights.

...and when you prove that you are who you say you are, you get the right to vote.

Diomedes

Voter fraud is not an issue.  The most egregious cases involve provisional voting and poll workers themselves, not voters posing as someone else.  But let's not left facts get in the way..facts are liberal.

Diomedes

You don't have to have a voter ID to prove it.  It's a poll tax your people are putting up to suppress the vote of your opposition.

Really? Here are some facts: Acorn, the group our president did legal work for, lost its federal funding and had some of its employees sent to prison for voter fraud. Remember Mickey Mouse registering to vote? Just a few weeks ago at the DNC, Bill Clinton was bashing Republicans over this very issue. However, he neglected to inform the nation that three Democrats from his home state were convicted of voter fraud that very day.

Diomedes

Good thing they got those three people...might have changed the course of American history.

I think it's high time we made a federal standard for voting, and implemented a modern system for tracking voters.  The patchwork system we use now is laughably antiquated and wasteful.  But even so, voter fraud is not a problem, unless you prefer Glenn Beck conspiracy theories to scientific research.

Might as well keep hundreds of thousand of citizens from voting to make sure those three dudes in Arkansas don't break a rule. farging idiotic.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

You realize 1/10 of the people in this country do not have photo ID, yes?   That you're essentially disenfranchisng 10% of this country (mostly Democrats, surprise), to solve a problem where there's been TEN cases of in-person voter fraud the last 12 years.  10% of people in response to ten cases.  Nationally.

Since 1990 they've had 10 instances of voter fraud. Sounds like a real big problem.

How can 1 person committing voter fraud make a difference? Do you think there's a mass conspiracy of people who are committing voter ID fraud? Enough to swing the election? This was another attack on the poor, minorities, and the elderly. The Republican party is despicable. Thankfully more and more people are starting to realize this. If they lose this election - and the way it looks they're going to - that's it for the GOP. They'll be forced to change or become a party of the past.

Eagles_Legendz

I don't expect much to change from the GOP until a tea party/"true conservative" gets the nomination and gets smoked.  If Romney loses the far right will say that, like McCain, he just wasn't conservative enough.  I was rooting for Santorum to get the nomination because he would have lost by the most since '84, and I was hoping that would've forced the pubs to change course somewhat.  I'm worried a Romney loss may just push them further right if that's possible.
