The reason the separation of secular and religious institutions is so vital isn't to protect the majority, but rather, the often powerless minority.   That's such a fundamental American truth I can't believe anyone would protest that.

Who is protesting it? Not me. I've said it won't affect me and it doesn't. I'll never have to worry about something like that happening in Maryland. This drives me crazy. His list of accomplishments is long but the narrative has been dictated by the GOP and that narrative says "The economy isn't recovering as fast as we'd like it to, therefore Obama has done nothing."

By the way, I'm not here to beat the drum of Obama as the best president ever. I'm disappointed in certain ways as anyone would be, but to claim that the man hasn't accomplished anything and has no track record to run on is f'ing ridiculous.

Keep in mind those are the same people who say "The stimulus was a failure!"....which in some ways it was, but it wasn't a failure because government stimulus is a bad idea...Can't really expect shore to get that though.
