I'm confused about what the Romney campaign is even taking about with this. It's like they're just saying words and hoping people will buy it. Which, of course, they will. But this is seriously confusing to me.

I find it inflammatory and distasteful to use words like hate in a political campaign (from either the left or the right) except in the most extreme cases, and I suspect that a lot of people would agree with me. This seems very likely to backfire in my opinion.

Ok so I just got caught up on the Biden snafu (not sure how I missed it) and I agree that that kind of language is not productive and serves only to inflame and divide.

There are a lot of things I like about Biden. He was one of the lowest paid senators during his time as he didn't take advantage of a lot of the side perks afforded to them to make extra money. He was exceptionally effective with his responsibilities for implementing the stimulus despite misleading ads to the contrary. He had a lot of respect from his senate colleagues and has foreign policy chops that I think have really helped Obama. But jesus christ does he say some stupid distracting and harmful (to the Obama team) shtein.

in bidens defense his biggest strength was supposed to be having influence on the hill as he was a very well liked senator up there and he was expected to help offset obamas inexperience by helping to promote and push thru policies of his...problem is the pubs made it a priority from day one of barrys presidency to not allow him to accomplish anything...and that plus the emergence of the tea party has basically rendered biden useless and overall a negative because of the babysitting you have to do with him

Of course he meant economic chains, smart stuff. It still explicitly invokes images of slavery and racial conflict which shouldn't have a place in a presidential campaign.
