So, are all of the Hillary haters all on board with Obama picking her to be secretary of state? Is this the Change part or the Hope part?

ice grillin you

im fine with it...i think she should do well...not that you need to be overly skilled to be sos

it was very big of barry to offer it to her after the venom between the two...in that respect its the change part...not many politicians would put all that behind them and offer a huge olive branch like he did
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

I like the pick for a couple of reasons:
1. It removes Hillary as a political threat 4 years from now.
2. It shows a willingness to extend an olive branch to people that he doesn't necessarily like or agree with.
3. It will hopefully put an end to ever discussing her ever again. Honestly, what regular person gives a shtein about the secretary of state?

I don't like the pick for the very reason Wing brings up. Either she has the credentials or she doesn't. If she does, Obama's quote looks foolish. If she doesn't why is she being nominated for the position?

The reasons I like it outweigh the reason I don't right now because mostly I just don't want her and her squawking gang of supporters to have anything to talk about.

So the change part is to completely flip your political views on a person you voted against doing the job they are now appointed to do? I see.

It was just campaign speak.  Very good of Obama to bring her in and he also kept Secretary Gates who has really done a good job with a tough situation.

It was just campaign speak plain simple lying to the American public.  Very good of Obama to bring her in and he also kept Secretary Gates who has really done a good job with a tough situation.

Couldn't resist.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

1. Irrelevant, she would never run against an incumbant, if obama's doing well, there would be no threat. If Obama is not doing well... then the democrats lose the white house.

2. Who the farg cares? There were many many people that voted for obama simply to not vote for hillary. Extending an olive brach (yay new buzz word) to one person to possibly alienate many others? I don't get it.

3. Christopher, Albright, Powell, and Rice are hardly ever mentioned.

I hate this move. I voted for Obama...and had I known ahead of time that this was coming...i would not have. Simple as that.

I think that's a little extreme.

1. Not true at all. If there were ANY room for her to run I have no doubt that she would.
2. I care. The ability to compromise is important.
3. They're all mentioned, but who really cares? They're puppets.

Frankly I don't care about it that much one way or the other. I think it appeases Hillary supporters and nuetralizes a potential point of contention.

He didn't lie. He just took one of his main points in winning this election and told everyone..."eh...about that, just kidding."
