Actually, it looks more like he and Stephanopoulos were talking about it.  It would appear no one from the right was directly involved in this exchange, so I'm a little confusing as to what you're getting at.

phillymic2000

the right has all the hate, they are not tolerant like the others. The right spews racist comments, not the left, emil jones, Jesse Jackson, Ray Ray. THe right sends protesters to destroy property at the DNC. Come on man keep up everything is the rights fault.

Let's bring up peripheral political fluff and treat them as though they are serious issues. Again.

Ok, then let's get back to raising taxes on rich people and corporations, and discuss the actual ramifications of doing so on the lower and middle class.

"likely voters" sounds like a crock of shtein to me

PhillyGirl

IGY, do you honestly think that will last? When the shine starts wear off on the Palin choice, those numbers will drop drastically.

Gotta love VIGY and his meaningless polls.  Anything that serves his doom and gloom outlook...

It is a convention bounce.  Some have referred to it as a "dead cat bounce" (even a dead cat will bounce if you drop it from high enough).  Give it 1-2 weeks, and if Obama is still trailing you can start to worry.  Worry, that is, about how Obama is going to get 10 more electoral votes from the toss-up states, while McCain has to find 90. (pollster.com)

My prediction: in the week after the first debate, Obama will solidify a 5pt lead in the national polls which will not move.  The popular vote will come down to a similar margin.  Obama will win by > 30 EV.

Oh, and likely voters is a crock of shtein - it is based on assumptions that Obama is focused on changing as a key part of his strategy, namely that you can only count on old people to vote.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Hey Cerevant, i think you should start worrying about your own government Dissolving Parliment,,,lolz

Not my government - I can't vote up here.  I'll be casting an absentee ballot in PA for Nov 4.

That being said, dissolving parliment is normal - that just means that everyone has to run for re-election.  Another interesting side note is that Canadians don't vote for the Prime Minister, just their representatives (members of parliment).  The party in power appoints the PM.

The UK is the same. You vote for a party and if that party controls parliment they nominate someone from their ranks to be PM. I think that's worse then what we have.
