Someone cue up the picture of Barry and Marlboro's from Gibson's old show.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rome

Interesting how the host didn't immediately stop the interview and chastise the stupid funhole for her disgusting comments.  Sad fact is most upper class whites in this country don't want a black man running it and would be all too happy if someone popped a cap in his ass.

The longer this drags out the more I'm convinced that we're going to get exactly what we deserve and that means either Hillary or McCain.

Cerevant

It isn't going to drag out very long.  At this point, it hinges on the decision of the Rules & Bylaws committee.  There are 3 scenarios:

1) MI & FL are stripped of all their delegates: Obama clinches or needs less than 5 super delegates to clinch after the primaries finish.
2) MI & FL superdelegates are assigned based on the results of the primaries, with those not assigned to Clinton assigned to Obama.  Obama needs 20-30 superdelegates to clinch, less if they half the delegate value for these states as suspected.
3) If MI & FL are seated according to Hillary's terms, Obama still has a mathematic advantage, but the message is clearly that the party is looking for a way to nominate Hillary.

There is a middle scenario where Obama doesn't get all the non-Hillary delegates, but that would just bump his target to ~50, when there would be over 200 available.  Same dif.

In all three cases, the supers will rally to the anointed one within a week.  This will be over by June 10.

An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Rome

If they farg over Obama by ignoring the rules that they, themselves established, then Obama should leave the Democratic Party and run an independent campaign for the Presidency.

Cerevant

#1 and #3 are virtually impossible.  #2 is meaningless.  Obama gets the nod by June 10 if not before, especially if he continues to pick up supers at his current rate.

Alright, can someone explain to me why the media absolutely refuses to acknowledge that Hillary's strongest base of support is the racists?  We keep hearing about low income, white, less educated...now I read someone bending over backward to show the connection to those with Scotch-Irish lineage.

Isn't it time to finally call it like it is?  It isn't the "white working people" problem, it isn't the "Appalachian problem" it is the racist problem.

Rhetorical Question (and a mix of Devil's Advocate thrown in):

Is that really any more racist than 70-80%+ of African-Americans voting for Obama as their candidate?  Why are so many blacks supporting Obama?  Is it because they see him as the BEST candidate for America?  Or is it because they see Obama as the best candidate for themselves?

Most groups - black, whites, Latinos, men, women - not only vote for their own positions, but vehemently support their candidate and attack the oppoents.  It's the way of American politics.  They don't vote for what's best for the nation - haven't since the beginnings of the nation (Adams' Federalists vs. Jefferson's Democratic-Republicans in 1800), and won't now.

Of the three, I believe that Obama is possibly the best overall candidate - he has the chance of doing the most good for the country.  As a middle-class white man, I'm not sure he's the best candidate for me or my family - at least in the short run.  I will probably still vote for him this year, because it is a remarkable election - not because of any inherent superiority of me, but beause the circumstances dictate that the BEST candidate needs to win this election, and that his potential will be the best in the longer run for my children.  I don't agree with Obama on many of the details, but I can't see four more years of continued Bushism (under McCain) or Clintonism being good at all in the long run.

Calling blacks racist is racist.

Learn it, Geo.

Everyone is racist to some extent - white, black, Hispanics, Asians.  Even igy.

One of the things that has really intriqued me is the overt hatred vaious Hispanic groups have for each other.  My school has a sizable group of Mexicans, Cubans, and smaller populations of Dominicans and South Americans of various nationalities.  A fairly large percentage of our fights is between the Hispanic groups - they refuse to eat together or hang out together in spite of their commanalities.  Ethnic slurs are also tossed back and forth.

MDS

All you need to do is get some brothas in there so they have something to unify their collective hatred.

I agree, it's a pathetic joke that a host wouldn't chastise their guest for joking about that. I don't think, though, that most upper class whites would like to see the cap in the ass.

1) I think when people won't vote for a black man only because he is black, they are racist.
2) I think when people vote for a black man only because he is black, they are racist.
3) I think when people won't vote for a white woman only because she is a woman, they are sexist.
4) I think when people vote for a white woman only because she is a woman, they are sexist.
5) I think that the "dream ticket" of Obama and Hillary would be a disaster, because half of the racists and sexists would vote for McCain, where one of those groups would otherwise vote for the Democratic candidate.
6) I think it is absurd that the media refuses to acknowledge racism and sexism when it is so obviously an issue in this election.

For failing to get the poor white vote, the foundations of Obama's campaign are constantly questioned.

For failing to get the black vote, Clinton's campaign is almost never questioned.
