And by the way... because I'm self-employed I have no big Daddy company to take care of my health insurance for me so it costs me around $400 a month for me and my daughter (the mrs. has her own policy through her firm thank God).

I haven't seen video footage of this but it doesn't give me a positive impression of barry.

I happen to agree with his comments completely.  Had McCain said that, he'd be credited with straight talk.

I agree too, but the people he is talking about are too stupid to understand the context.  Instead of understanding that he is acknowledging that these people are in a bad situation and they are grasping at the factors they can control, they just see that he isn't pandering to them.  Must be an insult.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Second.

The people he was talking about aren't gonna vote for a soul brother anyway so it's not like his comments will make a dent one way or another.  I have no doubt that Hillary will pounce on them, though.

Only 400 a month?  My wife used to pay over 280 every two weeks.

I've got Johns Hopkins health care.

Havng some neck and related shouler/arm troubles...been to my GP, had an xray and an MRI, and soon to a specialist.  Grand total:  ten dollar co-pay.

Which apparently I didn't have to pay, because I just got a check in the mail for ten bucks, saying I over paid.

If you can't add yourself and your daughter to your wife's policy for a lot less than $400/month, her "firm" sucks ass.

It's not an option that's open to us but yes her firm sucks.

Welcome to Florida.  I had to take a step down in coverage to get my kids on for an extra $360 per month.   I had been paying nearly $600 with the better coverage.

Hillary is awful but Obama was an idiot to say something like that. It isn't even up for discussion. He's gonna have to do a lot of work to mend the damage something like this has the potential to cause.

I said earlier in the thread that I thought the remarks were stupid, especially considering that I was positive they'd be taken out of context.  It doesn't surprise me at all that the unctuous whore would immediately seize on it and start the mudslinging, though.  For her to make the comments she did, especially the last line, is truly hilarious because anyone who disagrees with her is labeled an enemy.

She's loathsome and disgusting and I hate her.  So there.

worse than that they scare everyone into thinking they gotta take a pill for all their problems and on a daily basis they invent new syndromes diseases and sicknesses for people to worry about...they are straight up criminals

Yes!

This bugs the shtein out of me. Restless legs syndrome? I mean, c'mon. I don't think prescription drugs should be allowed to advertise on TV. It's stupid as shtein.

Easily the worst decision ever made by the FDA was to allow drug companies to direct market.  And I work for one.  The entire Vioxx debacle stems from this.  If Vioxx had been used as intended, and not direct marketed to every person with a sore knee, we wouldn't have had nearly the health disaster it turned into.  And the people whom really benfitted from Vioxx would still have access to it.

I was prescribed Vioxx and stopped taking it because of the side effects. What was the initial intention of this drug?

People with severe rheumatoid arthritis, who couldn't tolerate normal NSAIDs (stomach bleeding, on blood thinners, etc).  Unfortunately, it didn't prevent all the side effects seen with aspirin, and they prescribed it like aspirin.  They made lots of money, until the sudden cardiac death thing showed up.  Oops.

But this is why Obama isn't ready for the Oval Office.  He doesn't meter his words well enough, and says shtein that can be taken out of context, and potentially be destructive.  What happens when the off-color comment is about North Korea?  Not ready yet.

Of course if McCain picks Huckabee for VP, then Christ, I'll have to learn a new language.
