the republicans never win an election again the day black people start voting...its easily their biggest fear...its not even about race its about power...why you think they are always redistricting black people

clinton scared the holy crap out of the right because of his ability to get out the black vote...and thats a fact jack

"They" are the democrats, and "They" are always redistricing black people to win more seats in congress because blacks tend to vote for Democrats.

Thats the way it works in NJ at least.

That's an excuse for pre-existing hatred, not a reason for it.  The only people who could have a real grievance with her for doing that are New Yorkers.

As a Senator she is involved in making National policy decisions.  Please explain to me how that does not effect everyone.

For everyone else, they already hate her and it's a convenient thing to point to instead of simply saying..'I hate her because she tried to install universal health care', or 'I hate her because she's a Clinton,' or 'I hate her because she's a woman.'
For most of your kind, it's the latter.

"My kind" again eh?  Anyone who disagrees with you gets lumped into one group?  Isn't that what racists and bigots do too?

Edwards is a fancy boy. Obama is inexperienced and all talk no action. Hillary is the textbook definition of a funhole.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

You just explained why the the Republicans will remain in the White House.  Quite succinctly, I might add.

No they won't. But the Democratic candidates suck.

I would kind of like to see the conservatives keep the white house in a perverse way...nothing is going to get better, so it might as well be on their watch

Hahaha.  I loved this quote:

Quote"Anything that looks like pandering to dictators is bad politics in South Florida," said Republican state Rep. David Rivera of Miami. He predicted Obama's comments would come back to haunt him, particularly if he becomes the Democratic nominee.

Right.  Don't pander to dictators.  Well, unless you have airbases strategically located within the boundaries of their countries, that is.

There aren't enough of these. . .  ::) to express my contempt for every politician going today.

farg 'em all to Hell and back.

I feel the same way about the Democrats.

If I was a Democrat, I would rally around Biden. He seems like the most put together candidate that is actually willing to articulate policy proposals and try to implement them. Like his strategy in Iraq, for instance (dividing the country along sectarian lines). I don't necessarily agree with that approach, but at least he is willing to put forward a plausible solution unlike the other leading candidates who talk in platitudes and aren't willing to commit towards any real strategy. All they harp on is that they don't support the war effort anymore or "I was the first one to say it wasn't a good idea". Well, good for that person; but we're there, so they would better serve the populace if they articulated a plan for the future of Iraq and U.S. involvement instead of continually bringing up past occurrences that no one can change. And if they want immediate withdrawal, I want them to honestly articulate what they think would be the fallout for such a decision.

The YouTube debate was just silly. There was very little of substance, no explanations about the implications of their very vague policy proposals, and just a bunch of harping on purported inequities, "injustices", and how the government will make everything "free" without any adverse consequences.

So much for this debate generating greater "transparency" in the political process. However, if CNN instead decided to limit the number of questions and gave more than 30 seconds to respond, maybe more substance could have been unveiled. But politicians, by nature, are going to stick to the most vague, ambiguous statements possible in case circumstances change in the future. So much for showing spine and leadership.

This just makes my head hurt...
QuoteThe Bush administration said Monday the constitutionality of its warrantless electronic eavesdropping program cannot be challenged.

That damned piece of paper just keeps getting in the way.  National security is just so much more important.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

When you have an administration in a (supposed) democracy arguing that its policies can't be challenged you have a real problem on your hands.

The end for this particular gang of thugs can't come soon enough.

The precedent has been set. It doesn't matter who is in power next, these same problems with a lack of civil liberties, and invasions of privacy and government generally over-stepping all of its bounds will persist no matter who is in office because we've allowed it to happen in the first place.  We've gotten fat and lazy and now the government can run roughshod and do whatever it wants because we like our central AC and SUVs far too much to put up any kind of fight.
