1.  Both Clintons are whatever they need to be to be elected - probably moreso than most other politicians.

2.  Please ease up on the race card for awhile - NOT EVERYTHING IS BASED ON RACE.  It's been overplayd here and quite frankly it's getting tiresome.

As we saw last year, a candidate is one Huzzaahhh away from charecter assasination by the media. Anything can happen... and I'm hoping it does...

I'm pretty sure that Hillary's been in the public eye long enough that there's not going to be some dramatic shift in public perception of her between now and the election.

That being said, I'm not a big Hillary fan, but I'll vote for her just to get Bill back in town.

Thats so ridiculous I don't even know where to start.  Clinton was hated mostly for what he did in the 60's (dodged the draft, protested on foreign soil, wrote that he "loathed" the military, etc.).  His record as Arkansas gov was moderate.  In addition, he was a new generation of politician and helped the "old guard" retire.  Thats why he was hated.

Hillary got tagged as a socialist because of Hillarycare, and followed that up by carpet-bagging in NY.   

Not everything is race.

Funny, New Yorkers don't resent her for "carpet-bagging."  She's been a very well supported candidate throughout the state, not just in the city.  She's busted a lot of balls on behalf of NY and New Yorkers know it and appreciate it.  She won't win that state based on the city alone.

We were talking about why the Clintons are hated and that is clearly one reason.  She went there only because 1.) there was a Senate seat open and 2.) its a very "blue" state.  Of course shes popular in NY...if Karl Marx came back from the dead and ran for Senate he'd probably win.  Whats your point?  Or don't you have one as usual?

That's an excuse for pre-existing hatred, not a reason for it.  The only people who could have a real grievance with her for doing that are New Yorkers.  And they don't.  For everyone else, they already hate her and it's a convenient thing to point to instead of simply saying..'I hate her because she tried to install universal health care', or 'I hate her because she's a Clinton,' or 'I hate her because she's a woman.'

For most of your kind, it's the latter.

this is true...especially with the radical zealout base of the party...but they despised the clintons long before hummergate...and it mostly has to do with him being "the first black president"
