The mass media apparatus in this country doesn't feed off good news.  They feed off tragedy, mayhem and disorder.  Democrats, for all their flaws, actually try to make things better whereas Republicans do the exact opposite. 

If one side is always engaging in death (military, war, racist law enforcement)) and destruction (climate, social equality, combatting racism and bigotry) that's the side the media is going to report on more often.

looking at the PA state wide election from last week, i dont think this is all bad news

-2017 was as good a time as any for democrats. they lost the state supreme court seat by 95k votes and split 2 commonwealth court seats.
-2021 was as bad a time as any for democrats. they lost the state supreme court seat by 30k votes and split 2 commonwealth court seats.

looking county by county this was 100% the enthusiasm gap. republicans were more motivated to vote. democrats more than made up for it with mail balloting which exponentially increased participation.

so for 2022 is simply boils down to getting butts to polls. thats it and thats all. the voting results dont suggest some kind of serious anger toward democrats or that theyve lost votes.
