Seems like extremely faulty logic. Saying it's a binary choice and people have no where else to go, but then saying you have to hide your beliefs because people will go somewhere else.

You completely missed his point

Why come out for such minor issues when you're appealing to a small sect who aren't going to vote for Trump anyway. You're giving the right talking points and outcrazying Trump.

Giving people some basic rights and dignity isn't anywhere close to outcrazying white nationalism. People continually equating the two is a problem.

But it's not like Bernie or Warren are out campaigning and stumping on these issues. Bernie concentrates on health care and Warren always talks up her wealth tax and etc. They get asked about these other issues and they answer the questions when asked. Right wing websites (like white nationalist DailyWire) then put a headline out for clicks and the right wing media pushes it for weeks and months with the help of Facebook. And then for some reason, contrarians like Bill Maher keep talking about it even though hardly anyone cares.

Meanwhile, right wing states are passing laws to make it harder for college students to protest, and the "free speech warriors" like Maher don't mention it, because the true threat to free speech is Milo Yapapagiorgio getting deplatformed or something.
