The White House struggled to limit the fallout from Flynn's bombshell guilty plea today, playing down his close ties to the President and claiming he has not implicated anyone else.

Describing Mr Trump's disgraced former national security advisor as someone who was only at the White House for "25 days", White House lawyer Ty Cobb painted Flynn's admission that he lied about Russia contacts as a vindication for the White House.

I mean, why not hire a lawyer to represent your administration who was named after a relative that was a murdering, racist, misogynist ?

I know it sounds ridiculous but to me the key to all of this is getting Pence caught in the dragnet too. The not so secret backdoor out of this for the GOP was for Pence to take over in the event that Trump gets got. Taking that option away and avoiding Pence's ham-fisted attempts to start a theocracy will completely hobble the GOP.
