There are thousands and thousands of people in Houston who are getting exactly what they deserve.  For every moron crying to a reporter about how "they" passed without picking us up, how "they" didn't tell nobody how bad the flood was going to be, blah blah blha.

Nothing double standard about this.  In order for that to be a double standard, you'd have to demonstrate that the same people are treating those two cases differently...and of course there's a big difference between the way an academic institution behaves when confronted with ignorance and hatred, and the way a religious organization handles it.
