The other day I suggested maybe 90-95% of Eagles fans were racist scumbags.

Judging by what I just read there, and from people I thought I knew fairly well, man was I wrong.

an old jew school buddy's dad was among the speakers. hes a reconstructionist rabbi in mt airy, which is basically the peace and love hugs and kisses for all sect of judiasm. anyway he tore the house down. most of his family was eradicated by the nazis. he has 1 son with down syndrome. his wife died of breast cancer when he had like 5 kids ages 5-16.

There's one guy I know personally in there.  We've broken bread together.  We've gone to Eagles games, training camp, etc.   I had no idea he harbored those sentiments.  Very disappointing. 

Needless to say I'm done there.   I might have posted there once a month and then usually only in the soccer thread or the Eagles thread but no farging way am I going near the politics people again.  They're disgusting.

I occasionally post at /r/eagles but though the Reddit fanbase is generally less ignorant than the larger fanbase, it's far too homer for me.

This is the only place I've found for example where the prevailing opinion is not "Marcus Smith is just like Brandon Graham, we just have to give him time."

Until he's cut.  Then he was a bust and a bum and good riddance.

I'm the only leftist over there who's stubborn enough to argue with them regularly for the last 7 years. Even some of the old favorite lefties of that section have disappeared.

And the actual communist got himself banned I believe
