The ultimatum is genius.  It gives cover to the "no" crowd.  They can go back and say, well it was that or Obamacare, and yeah the other Republicans failed us, but that's why we have to keep fighting and electing arch conservative freedom caucus people like me.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

yeah its really good politics...freedom caucus can say we didnt cave...trump can say he kept his promise to do everything in his power to repeal obamacare

a lot of times in politics you lose by winning...obamacare was a perfect example when the dems rammed that thru they were partying in the streets...since then they have lost the both sides of congress the white house and over a 1000 seats nationwide...what trump is doing now will look bad in the short term cause youll have the headlines about how the art of the deal doesnt work in govt and shtein like that but in the long run they could very well end up better for this

the hilarious thing about this whole debacle is that this has all happened while every single person in congress knows that even if passed by the house it has less than a zero chance of passing the senate....this is literally all politics

btw i think theres a decent not good chance it actually passes today...25%

I still don't understand what the GOP's problem with the ACA is. Isn't it basically the same thing as what Romney put in place in Massachusetts?

ice grillin you

even democrats have issues with the aca....its far from perfect and needs obvious improvements but its the best weve ever had certainly better than what we did have and soooooo much better than what we might get...anyway to answer your question they dont have huge problems with the aca....they have HUGE problems with obamacare

10-20-40 years from now they cannot have our healthcare system having been created by the first black president especially when it was his signature doing...so much so that the house voted to allow a vote on this bill the same day the bill was going to be voted on...basically they are jamming an insidiously evil and unpopular bill down the throats of americans that they havent even read yet...this thing was written less than a month ago....you cant farging write something as big and intricate as a health care bill for a country of 400 million people in a few weeks...but they dont care about the bill itself or the people...they just want "obama"care gone

That's the other thing...what the farg have they been doing for the past seven years? Why did it take them so long to come up with the AHCA? "Oh shtein, a Republican was actually elected President, who would have ever thought that would happen again?!"

ice grillin you

EXACTLY

farging paul ryan has had seven years to come up with an obamacare replacement and this is what he comes to the table with?

but they dont actually care about peoples health...ryan wants a tax cut for billionaires and to kill medicaid and medicare the tea party/freedom caucus does not want any federal involvement in health care period...there are a few moderates in the house but for the most part republicans on that side of congress could care less about the average citizen...the republican house right now is as sinister as it gets
