Is this March 2003?

Jesus.

Obama wiped the floor with McCain tonight.

HA! Of couse, thats exactly what happened.

In other words, you don't know, and whats even worse is that you don't even know that you don't know.

I'm convinced that the debate method is a huge waste of time, resources, and attention.  No matter what is said, no one is changing their votes based on the debates.  I have a hard time believing that there are more that 3% of the population that is undecided at this point.  I also believe that people hear exactly what they want to hear, and watch or listen to the debates so that when their candidate says something they agree with, they can nod their head in agreement and say "That's what I'm talking about."  Dems can point at sound bites and say Republicans (or people that side with Republicans, thank you very much Todd) are ignorant idiots.  Republicans can listen for sound bites and nod in agreement and say "Exactly! That's exactly right!" when the Repub candidate says something they agree with.

Waste.  Of. Time.

CNN's poll numbers seem to be giving Obama an overwhelming victory.

Personally, I didn't see it that way.  I thought that this debate wasn't much different than the first one.  Very close - but very close favors Obama right now.

Unless something big happens in the next four weeks, it looks like Barrack Obama will be the next president.

Yes, much ado about nothing.

Obama blows him away in just about everything. I'm really turned off my McCain and Palin. I do not like McCain's healthcare "solution". It seems to me that Obama is really set on making wholesale changes.

I hope he blows his ass out of the water in a month.

I don't get that either Geo.  Both debates were essentially a tie (no gaffes, nothing groundbreaking, and the same repeated rhetoric over and over), tey the public is all over Obama.

Either a) that means the Repubs are that far out of touch with the American public, which is a decided possibility, or b) people are enamored by a man that can deliver eloquent responses to questions, thus thinking they are more fit to be a leader.

Personally, I think it's more B than A, and that scares the living shtein out of me.  That means that people are so unintelligent and uneducated that they (we) think a great performance means a man is prepared to lead America through the roughest period in almost 100 years.  I thought we gave out Academy Awards for that, not Presidential elections.

Disclaimer - I am not saying that Obama is nothing more than a puffed up suit with talking points.  The man has some good ideas, and is incredibly smart and educated.  So was Kerry.  But I think people fell in love with the Great Orator, and that is enough for many, many people.  It's just too much of a stretch for me to believe that our generation of "Farmer Finds A Wife; The Sequel" TV and Anna Nicole's death being a national headline gives us a population that can grasp even the simplest of issues.

On the other hand,

we have a guy in McCain who is a hot-head. I prefer rational thinkers who don't get angry at the drop of a hat. Especailly when a short-sighted decision could have lethal and dire consequences.

Is John McCain the guy to lead America through the roughest period in almost 100 years? His health cannot be overlooked. So is Sarah Palin the person you want leading?

Quote"Obama's got two strikes on him before he even gets to the plate: 1. He's black. 2. He's a Muslim," said Charles Sipes, 68, of Harrisonville, repeating an oft-cited but untrue rumor about Mr. Obama's religion. "This country was based on white people, not blacks. Blacks belong underneath, not on top."

Quote"I'll probably go with McCain, and the only reason to go with him is I'm just afraid of what's going to happen with the other guy," said Don Peck, 68, owner of the Peck Wood Tavern in McConnellsburg. "I don't like [Mr. Obama's] background, where he came from. He's got a little bit of foreign in him."

What the farg? That stuff is disgusting.

Those quotes are what at least keep the election close.  Obama still wins, but it will be close.

QuoteIt's naive to think that Binladen and Hussein weren't in bed together.

It's very naive for you to think this.

QuoteBinladin was in Iraq when the war started, and he escaped. He was being funded by Hussein.

I would like to see any sort of credible evidence for this. Hussein was secular.

Hey stupid, for the last person to figure this out, I was trollin'.
