Any talk of changing the Tax Code is welcome. Any attempt to get back to talking about actual issues is welcome.

Good commercial.

I'm Cerevant, and I approve this message.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Refreshing change indeed.  I only wish it would last.

Excellent ad in tone and mostly in ideas, albeit vague ones.

Don't even get me started on outsourcing though.  It hits close to home in the I/T industry, but it's such a bunch of political bullshtein to try to stop it.  It panders to blue-collar workers and delays the time for them to re-train in an industry with a better competitive advantage.

His continued talk of unity is over-the-top, because the only one of his ideas that appeals to anyone who likes smaller government is getting out of Iraq.  At least he didn't use the "new majority" line.

Lies, lies, upon lies? Palin refuses to hand over emails for the investigation? Alaska's Attorney General (that she appointed) says those twelve people shouldn't have to testify?

If being a Maverick is doing the same shtein the Bush administration has done the past eight years then yea, I guess they're Mavericks.

How unfortunate for them that we've already had our fill...

Sorry, but your outsourcing story is no slam dunk - the core problem is that it is *NOT* a free market:
1) Labor standards are not equal
2) Health and safety standards are not equal
3) Quality assurance standards are not equal
4) Immigration laws prevent otherwise eligible workers from moving to where the work is

These factors conspire to make costs in some countries disproportionally high.  As long as there are blue collar workers, there will be cheaper blue collar workers somewhere else.  Unless you think you can "re-train" the working class to suddenly be capable of white collar jobs?  How much middle management does the US need?

BTW, comments from Fiorina count because she is an official McCain surrogate - she was actively campaigning on his behalf with his blessing.  This would be no different than Kerry, Rendell or Hillary making the same kind of mistake.

its worse than that.....fiorina is one of mccains closest economic advisors (why he hired an incompetant former ceo in that position is another topic) and is in his inner circle

hillary rendell and kerry are just stumping for barry to get him much needed votes

So, Obama follows up that no-B.S. ad with an all-B.S. ad invoking Rush Limbaugh to scare Mexicans.  Hilariously, they take Limbaugh out of context and completely lie.  With the kind of material Limbaugh does, why in the hell would Obama's camp have to do that?

Explanation of falsehoods

QuoteOn "shut your mouth," Limbaugh produced an April 2006 transcript from what he described as a parody of Mexican immigration laws.

The talk show host read a list of stringent rules, adding "shut your mouth and get out," before revealing to listeners that the guidelines were those set by the Mexican government for immigrants.

So, he criticizes the Mexican government for their policy, and the Obama team makes it sound like he's talking about immigrants into America.  Then, they just basically say he speaks for McCain.

Dirty tricks are all from the right, though.

ice grillin you

that aint no dirty trick....they could have pulled out a lot more racist things from rush than that...to me it went easy...and the right wing in general is not a friend of the brown people

moreover, what's McCain gonna do...defend Limbaugh?  Who is going to stand up to be named as a Limbaugh friend?

well done by Obama

While we're on the subject of latinos and hispanics..

does McCain know who the Prime Minister of Spain is?

from what I can tell, no he does not.  Or, he had "a senior moment."  Not sure which is worse.

I'm not sure whether I should laugh and shake my head, or get angry and shake my fist at the accepted hypocrisy.
