I don't think you'll find a prominant democrat actually doing that but the GOP needs that us against them we're being persecuted because we're Christian thing going for them.

Bill Mar, Huffington and blogger types certainly have or will. Alan Colms is being accused of it at the moment but who's to say he wasn't put up to it playing his role as a patsy.

Of course I blame them for picking her...but her acceptance of it...at the point of her life..is also beyond retarded.

(oh and the writing job is horrible, I agree LOL)

The points remain the same.

If McCain offered you the vice presidency would you turn it down?

She would.

But if Obama offered it to her, she would swoon at first but ultimately be caught in a conundrum.  Obama does not make mistakes, at least not any important ones, so he must be correct about choosing her.  However, she knows she is not qualified, so she is caught in a paradox.

What are you talking about? It seriously amazes me that anyone at all would be defending this choice as VP.  :-D

I thought we were now talking about you as VP.  That's much more fun.

PhillyGirl

Hell, I'm just about as qualified as Palin.

Only I have more experience in foreign affairs since I've been out of the country more than her in the past 25 years.

She hadn't left the country EVER until 3  years ago. And apparently lied that she visited Ireland...as her "visit" was actually a layover at an airport.  :-D

That was sort of my point. My other point was I don't blame her for accepting the oppurtunity of a lifetime. If someone gave you 1 million dollars would you really care about the people bitching about their qualifications and how hard they had to work for it?

PhillyGirl

As a parent, yes, I think she's irresponsible accepting the nomination knowing that her 17 year old kid is knocked up and out getting boozed like she does...her one son is on his way to Iraq (which will hurt the family a bit having him gone) and her other NEWBORN is a special needs baby.

Yes, it was a BAD time for her to accept the nomination...and bring her whole family (already under so much stress) along for the ride...and get thrown under the bus on the way.

I also think her acceptance of this could hurt her future in politics BADLY.

I'm not saying it didn't happen, but I'd really like a better reference than the Daily Kos' word that McCain said that.  You know, like a link?
Rush saying that kind of shtein isn't at all surprising, he'd probably admit to it laughing.  And that was reported by Molly Ivins, who had the clout to back that up.

EDIT:  And no one is trying to defend this choice as VP, I think we're all in agreement McCain is out of his farging mind (which is really quite obvious).  Your argument that she shouldn't have accepted is ridiculous.  Seriously, as the Gov of even a sparsely populated state as Alaska, do you really think that being VP will occupy more of her time than Gov?  Really?  Yeah, her kids a tard, so what?  All he's doing right now is sucking tit, shteinting and sleeping anyway.  4 years from now, he'll be almost indistinguishable from any other 4 year old.

She's a bad choice because she violated every known political ethic and tried to get her ex-bro-in-law fired because he left her idiot sister, not because she has farged up kids.
Anyone but Reid.

Wow. That pretty much illustrates how pathetic these Repubelican talking heads are.

Thanks for the link.

Apparently, I'm one of the last to know he ever said that. I posted it elsewhere and was told it was old news.

Also, did you know that if you were a HS basketball player, you are apparently up for the challenge to be VP of the USA?

This isn't fresh news,
but what about when Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Obama himself all said that Obama wasn't ready?

That's about the same as a couple of journalists, right?

Uh - Duh?

These politicians said these things while trying to win an election for a different Democratic candidate.

These talking heads are supposedly pushing for a Repubelican victory when they said this.

Again, duh? "One of things is not like the other"? .........duh?
