Please shut up all of you. Not one of you talking about a issue that has any importance whatsoever. You're just bickering like little bitches about news coverage and meaningless 'scandals' and people's ages and bullshtein that means less than nothing. And worse, not one of you is expressing a unique thought about any of it. Regurgitating political slogans and talking points is great and all but try thinking for yourself once in a while. Idiots.

Partisan bias and pissing contests on MSNBC

For all the leftists that rail on FoxNews, MSNBC is crafting a niche on the other side of the aisle.

CNN manages to stay out of this shtein.  I've been watching them the most, and they're by far the most tolerable.

Fox calling (continuously) Obama, Osama....doesn't even come close to anything MSNBC could ever say. SOrry, try all you want, but there is just no comparison.
"Oh, yeah. They'll still boo. They have to. They're born to boo. Just now, they'll only boo with two Os instead of like four." - Larry Andersen

Oh, and by the way, Hillary's speech sucked. All of her bleeding heart bullshtein about 'think about the widowed mother with cancer working seven jobs and raising a hundred and forty six children when you go to vote, do you really think that she would want you to vote for McCain?' How about encouraging people to vote for the person who you think will be best for the country and then saying WHY they would be the best for the country, rather than invoking some hackneyed bleeding heart wet dream to guilt people into a vote? It was trash and bleeding heart politics gets the stink fist.

i'm voting for the bald woman who painted her head like the stars and stripes.

(I still haven't watched Hillary's speech, but saw all the speeches last night)

Neither Hillary or Bill indicated that they were in love with Obama - to do so would just have been disingenuous.  What Hillary did was appeal to her supporters who really don't like Obama.  She wasn't going to convince them of how great Obama was...her only only option was to say, in effect, "You are going to vote for McCain?  Are you out of your farging mind?"

Bill did a nice job of answering the questions that Hillary didn't.  What I think was key was his noting that he was called "inexperienced" by the R's in 1992.  He was actually younger than Obama and had no federal experience.  Worked out ok for him, eh?

I think Biden's speech last night really set the tone for the rest of the campaign.  I can see 30 second spots going into detail of each policy gaffe that McCain made, and echoing Biden's "McCain was wrong, Obama was right".  This is not something Obama could have said about himself without looking arrogant.  That being said, I was a bit uncomfortable with the fact that this section seemed to be a repeat of part of Kerry's speech.  Not a good symbol, given that Biden got in trouble for plagiarism in the past.

I also think Biden will do a good job making Obama seem more "mainstream".  If McCain doesn't nail his VP choice, I see Obama starting to pull away.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

ATV

Quotewe can't have anyone reporting on that now can we.

Oh, no, we can. That's what the National Enquirer is for, not a nationally broadcast TV program that purports to be legitimate news.

There are millions of sad sacks in this country that are hoping this election devolves into a conversation about bullcrap like the last one did (swift boat). That card has already been played, the legitimate news outlets and the American people now see these stories for what they are.

Father Demon

Keep dreaming, Spanky.  This election, like the last ones, will be decided by idiots who either believe Obama is a Muslim or McCain is Satan.

BTW, Scarborough is to MSNBC as Alan Colmes is to Fox:  geldings to keep up the appearance of balance.
