I was hoping when needle dick was here pretending to give a farg about hurricane victims someone would put him on the spot about rescinding DACA

This is getting to be pretty hilarious. The Pubs hold the House, the Senate and the White House but this week Trump has basically handed two major issues directly to the Dems. Ending DACA is despicable, but he has made it clear that he wants congress to pass something and even undermined his own party by suggesting that if they don't pass something he'll just consider extending it, taking away leverage in the negotiations from that angle.

Then today he agrees to a funding deal with the Dems, meaning that the Pubs can't attach DACA/Immigration reform to that whole process.

So in addition to no spending controls for the debt limit and no cuts for the continuing resolution, the upshot is that one of two things are likely to happen on the immigration front. Either the Dems will get everything they want from DACA legislation without having to give up anything (a legislative victory). Or there will be no legislation and all hell will break loose (a political victory). At that point Trump could extend DACA himself, running the risk that it will be ruled unconstitutional by the courts. Or he could let it expire and piss off 80% of the country that doesn't want to see 800,000 law-abiding people deported for something their parents' did.

He's a bumbling moron who has no idea what he's doing. He can't get conservative legislation passed and now he's paving the way for clean liberal legislation to go through. Now if we can just avoid nuclear war while Mueller does his thing...
