The last 72 years of international diplomacy has revolved explicitly around avoiding nuclear conflict. But sure, we have a clueless blowhard dipshtein conman who brags that he's never read a book in charge of the country so fargit, let's just start a nuclear war!

Trump is in office for six months, guts the state department through neglect, displays no ability to lead or understand the world and then goes about instigating the planet's most desperate, insane authoritarian. This is a man who asked why we couldn't just use nukes when he was being briefed during the campaign. Now he wants to swing is dick around for the world to see. So sure! Sign me up! War with N.K. would mean, at a minimum, the entire Korean peninsula would burn.  Millions of innocent people (North and South, including tens of thousands of U.S. troops) would be killed.  Anyone who thinks that's a good idea is crazy or evil. 

There is nothing to be gained--not even face--in provoking or in any way contributing to war with N.K.

Cool, let's stick with diplomacy and sanctions. NK seems to be taking that well. At some point they're going to put their new toys to use. Let's wait around for that to happen. Most people who go on a killing spree communicate their intentions beforehand. That's what we're seeing now.
