It's not a matter of a Pakistani government approved nuclear attack. The point is the Pakistani government likes to house terrorists and terrorists like to blow American shtein up, and would probably love to blow shtein up nuclearly

I would be guessing that the main officials in Pakistan did not know and Bin Laden was being very smart and paying the right people to keep their mouths shut. Seems like they had a lead on him for a few months and were just waiting for the moment to strike. I can't wait til this whole story is unraveled in book form.

A good book I read about what lead to 9-11 is Ghost Wars by Steve Coll. It will give you a good build up to 9-11 and what all was going on.

There's reasonable and proportional responses to most anything that is done by terrorists.  My point is we find out who's responsible and unleash Hell on Earth on them and those that support them.

It is not true that Pakistan has done nothing for us.  They've lost 3,000 soldiers and ten times as many civilians fighting Al Queda and Taliban sympathizers.  They regularly suffer suicide bombings from bin Laden lovers.

It's a very complicated case.

The real question is why does middle America worry about it so much? If they're going to bomb somewhere it isn't going to be Kansas, it's going to be a major city like New York or LA.

The real question is why does middle America worry about it so much? If they're going to bomb somewhere it isn't going to be Kansas, it's going to be a major city like New York or LA.

yeah it was amazing how much the middle of the country supported bush in the second election...including almost all independants and many conservative dems because he made them feel safe from terrorists...like now that they had gotten wash and new york crossed off their list it was now onto omaha and butte

When the Seals entered the room his wife charged them and they shot her in the leg (she lived), then they put one in Osama's forehead. I'm glad he's dead, no trial, no Islamic extremists attacking innocent people to get him released, no martydom. Non-issue to me.
