perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

You know...sometimes i think I'd like to see the current House of Reps disbanded, and then have a new one formed whos members are determined not by population, but by the average IQ of the state. That would be nice.

Might also force some of the states to fix their education system so they stop churning out dumb people.

O'Reilly is on The Daily Show right now

Stewart is right....he might be a little too far right or me, but O'Reilly is definitely the most "fair and balanced" guy on that network. These two always give a good interview

O'Reilly is just a fleshpop to everyone.  Mostly fair but unwatchable.

QuoteCensus Finds Record Gap Between Rich And Poor
by THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

text size A A A WASHINGTON September 28, 2010, 06:46 am ET
The income gap between the richest and poorest Americans grew last year to its widest amount on record as young adults and children in particular struggled to stay afloat in the recession.

The top-earning 20 percent of Americans — those making more than $100,000 each year — received 49.4 percent of all income generated in the U.S., compared with the 3.4 percent earned by those below the poverty line, according to newly released census figures. That ratio of 14.5-to-1 was an increase from 13.6 in 2008 and nearly double a low of 7.69 in 1968.

What the article doesn't point out is that rich people are smarter and work harder and the rest are lazy stupid people, but that's to be expected considering the source is a font of leftist propaganda.

The problem is and always has been that pure handouts are not the way to close the gap.  A focus on education is the first step... both for children and for adults that need to rehabilitate a lost career.  Next is incenting the right kinds of businesses to do business and hire in the USA, not keeping dying businesses afloat.

While Robin Hooding it seems like a nice thing to do, it does absolutely zero for the growth of the middle class.  But pretty much no one in government cares about the long-term health of the economy over their own re-election chances, so let's just eat some paste.

Incase anyone missed it, Christine O'Donnell thinks evolution is a myth

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Munson

I'm sure she has since learned the error of her ways and now denounces God and believes completely in Evolution.
Shut up.

lol at Rusty's link. They've been offering the same shtein over and over as solutions and every time the ideas have been implemented, they've more or less failed. I don't know how many times America is going to fall for the BS line. Progressives throw out BS too, but at least their BS is generally new, or something that hasn't been tried before. As we all know, according to the McNabb-Kolb theory, something that's been tried many times over and failed is not a better option than trying something new and seeing what happens

Irony.

Come over to no hippos sometime, maybe you'll be able to actually put an intelligent thought together.
