because politicians usually don't do what they said they would during the election campaign.

Is there even one thing he's done that he said he would?

Well he lowered taxes on the middle class, my pay stubs recently vs. the ones I have from last year tell that story.

The economy has, for the moment, stabilized. The 3rd quarter of 2009 was the first quarter to see economic grown for about a year, I believe...And despite some disappointing Black Friday numbers for retailers, the economy is according to early estimations going to grow another 2.5% in the 4th quarter.

And now he's committing more troops to Afghanistan.

I think I remember him talking about that shtein during the campaign.

Lol! Yeah, instead of trying to answer the question just go ahead and make stupid comments that brand anyone who isn't on level with whatever your perception of the annointed one is as a ignorant red neck racist. Get Obama's cock outta' your mouth.

I have been disappointed in Obama and have voiced it here before, but he spelled out pretty clearly how he would deal with Afghanistan and he is just following through here.  I honestly don't know the best way to handle Afghanistan, but I'm glad we have people in charge who I at least believe understand the consequences of their decisions.

He all but said he would do this in the run up to the election.

I'm really confused that people were surprised by this.

he never said he was going to add 30,000 troops to afghanistan...he decided all this in the last several weeks...in fact word was a couple weeks into meeting with his council on afghanistan he was leaning towards pulling away from there

and im not suprised at all...america loves wars and loves blowing up brown people...im also not calling barry a liar...just that this decision is an awful one

If he's lowered taxes for the middle class, I must not be middle class because mine haven't come down. The economy has stabilized because people aren't spending money. The stimulus was supposed to help unemployment and it hasn't. The rate is now over 10%, the highest since '83'. The loss of jobs last month exceeded economists' estimates. 15.7 million out of work. It's the 22nd straight month the U.S. economy has shed jobs, the longest on records dating back 70 years. It's so bad Obama has committed more money towards unemployment benefits. The does not help the economy. It's a band aid. Were are the 4.3 million jobs the stimulus was supposed to create? Were is the work to be done on the infrastructure?

The only thing he's done, and I applaud him for it, is lower the interest rate to 4.75-4.9 for homeowners that made it through the initial housing crunch and are still struggling. Other than that there isn't a whole lot good I can say.

shocker

How about addressing some of the issues in my post instead of just making asinine comments?

I'll go on to say if you're going to be in Afghanistan, then you might as well have enough troops to get done whatever you think the job is. If he's not going to commit enough troops then get out. The guys over there now are at a disadvantage.

All I know is on a 340 dollar check last year I was losing like 50 dollars of it....this year it only went down to about 315 or something like that. I'm also not in a salary job so who knows.

And lol at the economy stabalizing because people aren't spending. If they weren't spending money, it'd still be sinking. I just provided the numbers for you and yet you are arguing that they are wrong? The numbers on the 3rd quarter have been out for a month now. The economy grew 2.7% in the 3rd quarter and is expected to grow 2.5% in the 4th. Which is the level we want it growing at, 2-3%. Anything above that and inflation becomes a worry.

One of the great mysteries about that is despite the growth, jobs were still lost in September and October. Now obviously this chart is from a biased site but the numbers are accurate.

Now in September the amount of people who lost jobs went back up a little bit, but how much of that can be written off to seasonal unemployment? The summer was over, college kids are going back to school and leaving their jobs, etc....Anyways, the point is that despite unemployment still on the rise, the fact is less and less jobs have been lost, and as long as the economy continues to stabalize, that number will get less and less until it goes back into the positive. Obviously there are factors that can throw this both ways, it could turn around soon or it could go in the shteinter. But to say that it's as bad as it was before Obama began instituting his plans is foolish and false. And remember this guy wasn't promising a magic bullet...he said it was going to get worse before it got better, especially the unemployment number. Were you not listening when he said that?

And I don't know where you live but around here the amount of road work being done, especially on bridges, is boardering on the line of annoying.

Seasonal unemployment? Man, I don't think of you like others here, but damn. When unemployment is the highest it's ever been in forever, thats the best you can come up with? Seasonal unemnployment?

QuoteNow obviously this chart is from a biased site
Exactly. You say that you have provided the numbers  but I have too say no, I don't agree with them. What fargin numbers are you talkking about, the ones on your pay stub?? Ha! Over 15 million Americans out of work beg too differ. A unemployment rate of 10.3 says different. And I say again for like the 10th time, were are the 4.3 million jobs?? No one has an answer because they aren't there. And you think because you're having a hard time navigating around your neighborhood that there is the money being spent on the infastructure. Christ man, open your eyes, that money is long gone.

HAhahaha! For the win. My ass shteintin in your face. No one here can admit how it really is. Our president sucks ass, and it's only been a year. If he keeps going the way he's going now, he'll be worse than Bush ever was, but none of you Obama nut hanging liberal corksuckers would ever admit it, even if the economy is falling apart around your ignorant I love Obama asses.
