Obama will do Top 10 on Letterman tonight. Stutter through that one, Hussein!
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

someone will put that up on youtube by midnight then, I presume...and it will be pulled by when?  six a.m.?

pretty interesting op-ed in the post today

Yeah, I've been reading a lot of stuff like that.  The in-fighting between Obama and Clinton is really a waste of effort.  EDIT: Here's a really good piece from the WSJ.

Meanwhile, the Republicans were on stage last night basically giving each other reach-arounds.  They all apparently want to cut taxes and spending.  Sure.  The only ones who actually mentioned where they'd cut spending were Romney (entitlements) and McCain ("pork"! bridge to nowhere!).  I still hate Romney and consider him the ultimate smarmy politician, but he's probably the only candidate in the race that knows business.  Giuliani is done and I think is bucking for a VP nomination at this point.  Ron Paul's Libertarian small government vibe is strong, but he's a weak candidate to push it.  Huckabee presented himself rather truthfully as a "moderate" fiscal Republican, even speaking of a plan to add 2 lanes to I-95 from Bangor to southern Florida as a way to add jobs and build meaningful infrastructure.  Still, his social extremism has done him in, and he'll be an also-ran after Super Tuesday.

Obama v. McCain would be a tough choice for me if the election were nearing.  At this point, I'd vote for anyone but Giuliani over Hillary, as he'd basically be a continuation of Bush.

So, knowing I am a certified Republican, a fiscal conservative with a shaky moral compass, and knowing I really don't think any of the major candidates are great choices, here's my list:

1a. McCain
1b. Obama
3. Romney
4a. Huckabee
4b. Paul
6. Clinton
7a. Edwards
7b. Giuliani

That was painful.

I don't blame you.  The only Republican left that actually speaks your language on the economy at all (not that it matters) is actually Huckabee, and the two of you couldn't be further apart on social issues.

Still, you'll probably get Clinton and like it.

Not to mention as a way to destroy more environment, steal more property from citizens, prop up the auto industry, drive the stake even further into the near dead heart of the railroad, etc.

That's about the dumbest idea I've heard so far this cycle.

I actually agree.  But I thought infrastructure was one reason why "government is good"?

By the way, the new vernacular of "green collar jobs" being used liberally by the Democratic candidates makes me want to punch all of them, especially Giuliani, even though he hasn't used it and isn't a Democrat.

Diomedes

Not just any infrastructure.  Roads were once good..and keeping them in good shape still is..but widening 95 is a lousy idea.  I mean, why don't we just make it fifteen lanes on each side??
