Fox News is pro-business and anti-Democratic Party?

Yikes

QuoteBut Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and other Iraqi and U.S. officials had warned of an increase in attacks around the withdrawal date as remaining insurgents attempt to re-ignite the sectarian warfare that ravaged the country in 2006 and 2007. While many Iraqis publicly said they are glad to see Americans out of their neighborhoods, some were worried about what the future may hold without the U.S. military nearby.

"Without the Americans, we were afraid of each other," said Hanaa Abdul Hassan, a Baghdad resident. "And now that the Americans are leaving, we will be more afraid. We knew the Americans were holding them back, so now I don't know what's going to happen," she said, without specifying who "they" were.

Ha, and they ( who is they  :paranoid) said it was because of us that the country was in the crapper. I fargin hope they can hold this ish together. I'm sure mini hitler is licking his chops in Iran.

minimal amounts of people died in iraq compared to a north korea rwanda or even mexico for god sakes

the overwhelming majority in that country even those who hated saadam would say they wouldnt rather have things the way they used to be

if it makes you feel better about your hero W try and pretend we made things better....fact is they are much worse and will be that way for decades to come...congrats

Rome

No one hates Bush more than I do and few here are more liberal, but the statements you made about Hussein are absolutely ridiculous.  He killed thousands of his own people using methods that were heinous beyond belief.  He was an absolute tyrant who had to go no questions asked.

Now, did Bush go about it the right way?  No.  Was there any apparent thought as to the aftermath of the invasion?  Evidently very little.  But to suggest that Hussein wasn't a bloodthirsty psychotic menace or to try and minimize the evil he perpetrated against hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians is patently absurd.

LOL my hero. Again trying igy... :-D

Really? they would.

You don't think its better? they can now vote for their own government, they now have a choice. Let's see what they do with it.

I wish we would have finished Afganistan before we even thought about another war, we didn't and the war was poorly managed by W, that got more of our woman and men killed then should have been. I'm not happy with that at all.

Diomedes

The Iraqis are no better off facing chaotic religious warring (particularly on the heels of their country being destroyed and hundreds of housands killed) than they were facing Hussein, as bad as he was.

And before we get high and mighty about how awful he was, let's remember that the United States supplied him with chemical weapons, and knew he was using them.

Good riddance to Saddam, but the most concise commentary I could ever make regarding George Bush was that it took a man like him to make removing a man like Saddam a bad thing.

The winners of this war are the weapons makers, private security corporations, and religious whackos on all sides.  They have once again managed to make the world worse.

sadaam wasnt even in the top 10 world leaders that needed to go...thats the point...the 1991 mass murders were awful and warranted getting him out then...but other than that he wasnt especially heinous in relation to other dictators in the world...shtein since 1991 more people have died in the mexico drug trade than saadam killed in iraq

he was just another awful leader amongst many in the world
