Will you guys stop with that emotion stuff? How many games does throwing a hissy fit help Tom Coughlin win? How a HC shows his emotions on the sideline or podium has zero correlation with how the team plays. Stop.

SunMo

i hope he is getting worn down, because he's never going to be fired.  him, banner, and lurie are all on the same page, jerking each other off about how smart they are with their "gold standard"  the only way Reid will ever be gone is if he burns out and quits.  but i have the feeling that he is one of these "never leave a job unfished" type of guys, thus, will never quit.

this is why you need some dissention in the FO, you don't need hatred or anything, but you need some checks and balances.  because the three most imporant people in the franchise, all blindly believing in the same flawed strategy is an awful thing.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

not true....accountability is a big thing in the nfl...and calling out people in public if done properly is a great motivator...the team doesnt fear or respect reid...not that it matters now as the season is over anyway...but he should have been lighting peoples asses up a long time ago
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Munson

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

SunMo

and protecting everybody has done wonders for the Eagles :yay:

Maybe not going completely beserk but it would be nice to see AR raise his voice a little.  The team has taken on the characteristics of Andy.  Boring, lethargic and apathetic.

nope, that's called "even keel" and apparantly, it's a good thing

you see, in football, emotion is bad, you need to treat each game like a trip to the library

thats because coughlin is a ahole 24/7...his players despise him whether he calls them out publically or not...like i said it has to be done right...and if it is it def can make a difference...not on the eagles tho not now...this team is way past that point and has been for over a year

Back in Buddy's days, yeah it worked. In this NFL it doesn't work. It doesn't work in ANY pro sport now. Call a dude out and he cries about it or then proceeds to rip his coach for calling him out. Know why it doesn't work? Because these iceholes go home and count their cash win or lose.

Calling players out publicly doesn't work.

Rome

None of us has any idea what Reid does behind closed doors with his players.  For all we know, he could be a Hoyda and kiss their asses.  Conversely, it's just as possible that he gets in their asses every chance he gets.

Regardless, making asinine comments like "he should have called them out publically" is stupid and pointless.

Humiliating people publically, especially professional athletes in this day and age, is utterly pointless and futile.  It simply doesn't work, not in business and certainly not in the four major sports because the athletes hold all the cards now.  You can't fire 53 players on the team.  Not even Andy could.

Quasimoto

I don't want him to call out single individuals.  Although it would be funny to hear him go on a 5 minute rant about Reno not stepping up in the return game.  :P

But certain aspects of the team need to be called out.  The defense and it's ability to stop the run.  Yeah, I'm looking right at you.

EXACTLY

liek ive said for a while now the whole aura surrounding this organization is poisoned...it starts with banner and his treatment of players and moves right down to andy with his milquetoast philosophy on just about everything on the field and off

The BIGSTUD

This poor play has nothing to do with motivation they suck. If you put someone who can't play a lick like McCoy or Dhani on the field, it doesn't matter. They can't make plays, they suck. Same with the entire defensive line. They just don't have the players.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

MDS

Walker just blamed the inept run defense on the outside guys. Loser.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Now thats funny.  He's arguably the worst DT on the team right now.  Lazy fat ass.
