I just ran three miles in under 22 minutes. Haven't done that since I started smoking in high school.
How long have you been training leading up to that time?

Two weeks. My first day back it took me 9 minutes to finish a mile. And after walking for 3 more minutes all I wanted to do was sit on the couch for the rest of my life and drink cold beer until I died.

Actually, that last part hasn't changed. Now I can just run to the liquor store faster.

speaking of freaks, i now wake up at 5:30 every morning and go to the gym.  for a person who hates to wake up early, this is incredibly strange.

nice.  I ran 3 miles the other day to see if I could do it...didn't time myself but I was WELL over 20 mins.  Running a 5k for charity in a couple weeks, wanted to see if I could do it.  Haven't run that much since I was in college.

LOL...me, too.

Once the weather improves, I'm thinking of getting up at 5:00 and walking/jogging for a while before my "real" start time. I did that two years ago, and it really did me good while it lasted.

Just go after work like normal people. Freakshows.

Me too.

I spent 5 days in DC last week at a teacher conference.  Just spending the afternoon and evenings walking around the monuments, I've lost about 5-7 pounds.
