Digging around some stats I came across something I found interesting.   Joselio Hanson is tied for 5th in the NFL with 8 passes defensed.  Lito also has 8.   I havnt really focused on Hanson per say, but it seems like he has been decent the past couple weeks.  He is also fairly physical banging it up with TO and Joe Horn at the LOS.   Is this guy a keeper as the 3rd/4th CB position.?  too early to tell?

Sgt PSN

It's definately still too early to tell but you're right about him being physical the last couple weeks.  And his play in the last 2 games has improved dramatically over his first few.....especially the Giants game when he was a steamy pile of hot garbage.  I didn't realize he had that many passes defended.  Same goes for Tito.  :yay

Team Tito approves of this message.

Even though he's listed at 5'9, I love his physical play. It almost seems as if he's stepped up as being the most physical corner over Brown. He seems to be in the right place most of the time. If his play stays consistent and/or continues to improve, I feel good with him and Hood as our 3 and 4.

hanson has played well since the giants game. christ, i never saw a CB look so lost as i did during that giant game.

he did a decent job against OD, as well.

he's absolutley played better than sheldon brown. how has yet to have a decent game this season.

PG is going to murder him.

Well, first she's going to bite his ankles.  But when he falls down.......then she'll murder him.

Hanson has really come around after a rough start. Brown has been bad.

PhillyPhreak54

Hanson is likely to be the nickle guy next year. He signed a 2yr deal and I would guess that they will draft a corner or two as well for depth.

Hood is gone so his job will be Joselio's to lose.

The BIGSTUD

I wouldn't be surprised if we sign Hood since we'll be like 45 mil under the cap next year.

Hood wants to start. He wants money, and they'll have that, but he wants to start. They can't give him that.

The BIGSTUD

You're probably right. With the way Sheldon has played this season, I wouldn't mind if Hood started. Sheldon's coverage hasn't been bad, but his tackling has.

exactly. its too early to judge, but I have a bad feelin about him.  he did do well past 2 games, but he's the type of player that needs to get physical or else he's toast. thats too many future penalties I'm not looking forward too.
