2004 QB Sacks = 47
2005 QB Sacks = 29
2006 QB sacks = 23 (so far)
NFL record for sacks in a season = 72 (1984 Bears)

Cowboys - 12 sacks
taterskins - 7 sacks
Giants - 5 sacks
Total - 24

The Eagles almost have as many sacks as the entire NFC East combined.

They are getting contributions from everyone. I said this after seeing Howard in training camp and I still believe it - I believe he could go down as one of the best FA signings in Eagles history. He's an excellent player. Not only the way he can get after the QB - but he does it from both DE spots and the DT position. And he plays the run very well. He's a complete defensive end.

Cole is developing into a stud. Walker is rebounding nicely from his off year last season. Juqua Thomas is showing that he's a fine role player. I love it.

And this is without Bunkley showing us anything yet. When he gets on track...man.

I hear ya'. I loved the way J.J. was bringing the ends around and up the middle of the line. It really threw Dallas out of their game plan. It looked like they wern't ready for that at all. Our D simply blew Dallas's offense the farg up. We saw yesterday what this D can do when they put it together for a whole game.

Watching Howard I think he is responsible for alot of the sacks. He occupies at least two blockers every play and when at DT provides a huge push in the middle. He may be a quiet defensive MVP.
Alert, alert. Look well at the rainbow. The fish will be running very soon.

The BIGSTUD

Bunkley had a very good game against GB, but I didn't see anything from him yesterday. He'll come around.

Cole's motor never stops. He keeps coming and coming. He is going to be a stud in this league for years.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Yea, that one tackle he had against the Packers was a real game changer.

Don Ho

yeah, where the farg is Bunkley?  Every game my 10 year old son asks me how did Bunkley do?  "Not a whole lot son, not a whole lot. "

What's the status on Rayburn?

All 7 sacks against Dallas were by the D-line.  That says alot, although i heard JJ abandoned the two team rotation during the game and went with the first team more often

ice grillin you

i heard JJ abandoned the two team rotation during the game and went with the first team more often

i watched it again yesterday and jj did go more with the first four....have a feeling it was simply because howard and cole were so ridiculous....howard played the game of his life and because of that it over shadowed how good cole was...especially against the run...he mos def is much more than a pass rusher
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

It looked like he wasn't even in uniform Sunday.

SunMo

Rayburn was inactive.

Bunkley, lest you forget, is done for the year.  he missed the first two weeks of training camp.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Susquehanna Birder

Usually when Rayburn is inactive, he still hangs around the sideline. I didn't notice him this past game, but I'm pretty sure he was around.

Who's going to bite at a guy who can't even get himself activated on game day? They'll get nothing for him.
