I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

His coverage was good though.  What type of injury did he have yesterday, i never heard the announcers say anything other than he was down.

Sheldon had a good coverage game but terrible tackling...very unlike himself. I wanted to see him destroy TO and he didn't.

He was not even mentioned in the injury report today.

I was hoping for more of this myself

I'm wearing my victory tie at school today.  8)

I can agree - I thought my heart would give out during that game yesterday.  It was just a roller coaster of emotions.

It may be October, and there is a long way to go before any talk of post-season should even begin to creep into the discussion, but yesterday was a big win for the Eagles, not because of TO, but because it was a division game against perhaps most dangerous rival.

Work has Youtube blocked but im guessin thats Reggie Swinton getting blown up

Ah, good old Pat Summerall. I miss his robotic-like announcing.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

(Oct. 8, 2006) -- The game of the week lived up to its billing, but not because of Terrell Owens.

Philadelphia played a sloppy game with five turnovers in the first half alone
, but this game came down to who you want at quarterback. Given the choice between Donovan McNabb and Drew Bledsoe, the choice is an easy one.

Bledsoe made some simply awful throws. He had T.O. on a stop and go and blew the throw. He underthrew several other passes. He took some bad sacks late in the game instead of getting rid of the ball, and then he obviously threw the ill-advised pass that clinched the game for Philadelphia.

He used to be known as an immobile quarterback, but that was 10 years ago. You cannot put the ball in harm's way when you are the quarterback. It's as simple as that. That is why the Eagles won the game, not because of anything else.

As for the Eagles, McNabb has to be the early favorite for MVP. They have no ability to run the ball, so they go to the pass on most plays. And each week, it has been a different receiver making the plays. Let's not forget about the defense, too. The unit played a very good second half in sealing the victory.

5 Turnovers by the Eagles in the first quarter? WTF game was he watching?

The first real test for the Eagles and we prevail. I think the team played all 4 Qrts this game, first time all season. What a win, I felt bi-polar all game, joyous and then completly pissed the next.

Negatives: all the drops, 3rd and inches pass play( :boom), 3rd and long playaction plays (duh), ineffective run game, McNabb needs to take some off on the shorter passes. Those drops could have been prevented if he took 20pmh off. Jeezzz

Positives: So many positives in this game. McNabb Offensive MVP. Lito and Howard get Defensive MVP for the game. Westy looked good until he coughed up the ball and then he disappeared all game. Reggie and Hank doing their jobs and catching the big pass plays. Big Ups to Baskett! Dawkins with key interception. The whole D-line should be credited for the downfall of the Cowpukes. Even though we had no run defense today, I'd rather them chip away than go deep to TO or Glenn. Our DB's made some mistakes, but the positives outweighed the negatives.

This was such a huge game for us. One of the more memorable games I have ever seen. Classic match-up with Dallas. Today is a great day! ;D

Oh and farg DALLAS!

Considering how many people were dropped into coverage, allowing Dallas only 3.7ypc was really not very bad at all.

Yup. I'll give up 100 yards to Julius Jones on the ground if it means keeping She and Me out of the endzone.

From the Dallas Morning News tidbits:

QuoteThings I jotted down on my 8x11¾-inch legal notepad: Could someone please tell me when CPR in the end zone was outlawed? Linebacker DeMarcus Ware was obviously winded following his 69-yard fumble return for a touchdown and teammate Jay Ratliff was the first man on the scene. Officials called it "overzealous celebration." I call it having your teammate's back. ...

The most tasteless homemade sign that we can actually print had a picture of a motionless Michael Irvin above a picture of Terrell Owens in a Cowboys uniform. The sign read, "One down, T.O. to go!" Who said these fans weren't classy? ... :-D :-D

In the parking lot before the game, a radio station had a booth in which kids were allowed to shatter T.O. bobblehead dolls with penalty flags. ...

Shared a nice visit with several members of the Eagles' four-piece pep band. Dave Barrett shot-gunned several pork ribs while holding his double bass. The band is credited with rearranging the team's fight song, "Fly Eagle Fly," which changed the face of American music in the 1960s. ...

Someone in the know assured me that Eagles RB Brian Westbrook wasn't going to play Sunday. Good thing I didn't write it. ...

Shared a healthy late-night snack of pizza and calamari with ESPN's Ed Werder, SI.com's Don Banks and the DMN's Tim Cowlishaw, Cal Watkins and David "I want to read" Moore following the game. Most of the discussion centered on the fine art of using personal pronouns. ...

We saw the remains of a burned No. 81 Eagles jersey before the game. The jersey was surrounded by popcorn. ...

Note to Cowboys fans: If you're going to wear a jersey and sit in the upper deck at the Linc, flipping off fans seems like a bad idea. That's what one man did after someone tossed a piece of ice in his direction. ...

Meanest quote regarding T.O.'s return: "If T.O's trying to kill himself, he's coming to the right place," said Eagles fan John Mirsky in Saturday's Philadelphia Inquirer. ...

Kudos to rookie safety Pat Watkins for taking his medicine in the locker room after he appeared to give up two touchdowns. "I think everything is a learning experience," he said. "I'm not a bad athlete or else I wouldn't be on this team. Everybody gets beat every now and then, this just wasn't my night." By the way, the Eagles players were saying after the game that both safeties were biting a lot on run fakes, which opened things up down the field. ...

Ratliff was actually very emotional after the game. I haven't spent a lot of time with him, but he's always struck me as a pretty shy person. He said he had to be "smarter" when asked about the celebration penalty he drew, but then he defended himself, saying he was excited and wanted to show his teammates. ...

We bumped into Eagles kicker David Akers and comedian Lewis Black at the Marriott breakfast buffet Sunday morning. ...

Awkward elevator moment of the weekend came when Eagles right guard Shawn Andrews broke into a Nelly Furtado song on our way to the fourth floor. ... :-D :-D :-D

Eagles goodwill ambassador Hugh Douglas shouted, "No cheering in the press box" when he heard someone respond to a positive play for the Cowboys during the second half. ...

The Cowboys' team bus had to wait at least 20 minutes for T.O. to arrive after the game. He greeted several former teammates, including my guy Reno Mahe. Do you find it somewhat strange that I have Mahe and Eagles punter Dirk Johnson's numbers in my cellphone? ...

T.O. mockingly joined Eagles fans in an "E-A-G-L-E-S!" chant before kickoff. ...

Still not sure why a man was wearing an Earl Campbell UT throwback jersey at the Linc.
