He is only slightly happier than John Harbaugh is about Munson being happy for him.

I was afraid that Akers, like a golfer or like The Idiot Kicker, had lost his swing and would never be able to regain it. He was bad at the end of last year and early this year.

The thing to note about this year though is that since he dropped weight his leg has been stronger. I noticed that on his kickoffs even in the PS. He had a lot more touchbacks this year.

He is really driving the ball with power now, even on his FGs. They are missiles. I again have confidence in him kicking. I'm sure he's happy that he's regained my trust.

You noticed it when everyone else did, once Joe Buck mentioned he had a career high in touch backs during the 1st quarter.

Too bad I could not hear the game because I was in a bar.

But it was evident in the PS that he was driving the ball deeper.
