My comfortable lead in my money is league is down to 13 points. farging Walker better shut it down.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

There is not a drip of truth in this post. Do not believe this man

Is anyone watching the officiating in the NE vs Denver game? Some horrible calls. Pats looking pretty bad...

You're entitled to your opinion.

Bout time Walker made a play though. He was having a brutal first 2 games.

Thoughts on sunday:

1. Carolina finally gets a win and boy was it ugly. I don't think 1-2 is a fluke. They didn't play all that great on sunday even with Steve Smith. They are a solid team, but nowhere near Superbowl contenders right now. They won't be later in the season either unless they make major strides. Tampa is just bad.

2. Miami sucks and so does Culpepper. They could really use Feeley right now, because turning to Harrington as your backup is not something Miami fans should be looking forward to. Almost losing to the Titans at home is an absolute disgrace. Kerry Collins is about as bad as it gets.

3. The Vikings have a better defense than I expected. Granted, the Bears aren't an offensive powerhouse, but they have been doing a good job so far this season. Taylor is playing well for them too on offense.

4. Cinci is the best team in the AFC right now and maybe the NFL. The Steelers aren't even close to the same team as last seasdon. They lost swagger, they lost discipline, and they lost their QB. He is not playing well.

5. The Giants suck. People talk about the Eagles only being able to play 3 quarters, well the Giants can only play one quarter well.

6. The Jets are playing much better than I expected. They didn't face the toughest of opponents yet, but have played well so they get the credit.

7. Brand new year. Same old Warner. Same old Cardinals.

8. The Pats Superbowl contending run looks to be over. I'll never fully count them out until the end, because Brady is Brady, but it sure seems to be over. They have the worst receiving corps in the NFL and Brady just doesn't seem like Brady. He is pissed about that Branch trade.

Peyton Manning is of course a notorious choker in the playoffs, but as an Eagle fan I am quite silent on the issue lest someone point out the playoff performances of certain other teams and/or quarterbacks.

I'm never silent on the issue.  And it's not about glass houses and stones, or the color of pots and kettles.

And nothing that any "certain other teams and/or QBs" have done will ever change the fact that P. Manning is the biggest choke artist in the NFL today.  I don't know of any team through the same span of time that had a QB putting up even close to the kind of numbers Manning did that never made it to the Big Game.  It has also been said that P. Manning has had one of the best RB/WR/TE combos in the entire league.  And Manning himself has averaged more than 4000 yds and 27TD passes each year that he's been in the league.  And to blame EVERY playoff loss on a "crap defense" is disingenuous.  If the offense is so "potent," in a close game a crap defense doesn't matter.

Last year the Colts started 13-0 and ended their season watching "yet another team" keep them out of the Super Bowl. Since people like to blame losses by "certain teams" on "certain QBs," I see no reason why this standard should not apply to Peyton as well.  No SB appearances...at all - even with HFA and New England knocked out by another team.  Sad.

Look for more of the same this year.

Wow. Catapult really has some strong feelings about Peyton Manning. I'm not sure why or how you could care that much.

Denver has owned New England for a long time now. The real test will be seeing the Patriots against some other good teams. I agree that their receiving corps sucks, but Tom Brady won three Super Bowls before becoming anything close to the NFL's leading passer like he was last year. What they really need is a better running game. The potential is there with Maroney, let's see if it develops.

rjs246

Between Maroney and Dillon they HAVE a good running game. But teams can key on it because they have less than zero ability on the outside in their passing game. A new starter who sucks ass (Caldwell) a geriatric (Brown) a rookie (Jackson) and a brand new player who's been with the team less than 2 weeks (Gabriel). They have no chemistry and they should lose to good teams until they develop some.

I read a Boston sports message board and they are in full on meltdown, Brady-bashing mode right now.  I LOVE it.
