Nope, not really.  But I do clearly believe the Eagles clearly aren't clearly better than the Giants.

Let's say... even, and the Giants get the tiebreaker because they actually won the damn game, fair and square.

this game can be looked at one of two ways.

Your 6th month old puppy that you've had for 6 weeks, decideds to shtein in the hallway, and piss on the carpet right in front of you. even though for 3 weeks straight has gone outside, and let you know when she's had to go.

this is either - a momentary lapse where she was startled, thought she was abandoned. and the next time she'll be at the back door waiting patiently to be let outside.

or - the puppy was abused and or neglected for the 4 missing months in her history that you know...and now will continue to shtein all over because she beleives you will abuse her.

for the record the eagles dominated the first half and the giants dominated the second half

giants scored early in the first half and not again
eagles scored early in the second half and not again

so this notion that the giants had five minutes of luck and won the game is homer spinism at its worst


neither team is clearly better but as ff said the giants WON THE GAME and why do we play the games kids?

obviously they won the game, but this notion that they are better, contrary to evidence stating otherwise, just because they won is absurd.

back in 2003 when the birds were giving up 150+ yards on the ground per game...and i heard was, "Stats are meaningless, the birds won"

where is the evidence that they are not better

they outscored the eagles 17-7 in the second half...the more important half...and beat them in their own stadium...winning on the road in division is huge and > losing at home in the division

and 7 of those 17 points were off a ridiculous bounce. HARDLY a "talented" drive.

that was a completed pass to the 15 yard line. fumbled inside the 10 from what i could see. a 9 play drive that started from 12 yard line.

it's not impossible to imagine the giants scoring even had burress held onto the ball inside the red zone there

everytime i swear myself off this topic i end up coming back to it.

but no more for me, i have my opinion, everybody else has theres.  i will be proven right at the end of the season, when the Eagles are 10-6 in 1st place of the division and the Giants are fighting the Cowboys for a WC spot at 9-7.
