Dawkins came down with the ball in both hands, FF.

I can't even fathom how anyone can see that game as the Eagles being outplayed by the Giants. Its pretty farging funny.

the giants througoughly outplayed the eagles from the 4th quarter on.

bounces or no bounces, enough people played like shtein at the end for the eagles to lose. just like KC lied down vs the eagles last year.

they lost focus. and it was unprofessional and embarassing, this includes, but not limited to Michael Lewis, Trent Cole, Sheldon Brown on defense. and most especially, Jim Johnson.

bad playing calling or no...westbrook still fumbled. a 3rd down pass bounced off of LJ Smith's hands, another 3rd down pass bounced off of Donte Stallworth, McNabb threw it out of bounds to avoid an INT on 4th and 1.

when the game counted...they lied down and let the giants walk all over them while half the team were yucking it up on the sidelines like they just made the playoffs.

they were NOT the better team on sunday, or they would have played with focus and acted like professionals.

yes, the better team wins everygame every week.  indeed.

were the Giants better in the 4th quarter?  yes.  are they the better overall team moving forward?  NO.

So did Shiancoe.

And it's simple, really.  The Eagles absolutely dominated the middle of the game, but failed to put the game away by scoring at every viable opportunity.  But the Giants completely OBLITERATED the Eagles in the 4th quarter and OT, so it's laughable to say the Eagles outplayed the Giants overall.

ice grillin you

the giants were a better team before the game sunday and i still believe the giants are a better team even if i believe the eagles played better on sunday

yeah really how are the eagles better....they eagles beat a pathetic houston team and LOST TO THE GIANTS

and whats really funny is you say how the giants are better than the colts who are a superbowl contender in a far superior conference

so the giants are better than the colts and they beat the eagles but the eagles are a better team?...better than the colts and giants??...im interested to see how this formula works where the losing team is always better

anyway my original point is the eagle had a historic loss..people are saying the worst in franchise history...the giants lost a tough game against the colts that they COULD have won...there is no comparison between the two

Don't be stupid.  I meant they were the better team that game.  Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about.

McNabb - 27/45 350 yds 2TD, 0 INT
Westbrook - 125 total yds, 1TD
Stallworth/Brown - 1 TD Each
LJ - 7 catches 111 yds
Eagles defense - 8 sacks, INT to the Giants 1 sack, 0 INT
Tiki - 51 yds on 21 carries
Shockey - 2 catches 17 yds

Sounds like we were the better team that day.  You look at those numbers without knowing the score and try to tell me that you would think the Eagles lost that game.  Those results ALL add up to an Eagles win. The fact of the matter is that game is a blowout if the Eagles didn't farg around in the 4th quarter and there was nothing the Giants were able to do about it... terrible playcalling,  not picking up forced fumbles (which DIRECTLY led to points), losing fumbles, dropped passes, stupid farging penalties, etc... all gave the Giants a shot to win the game.  They simply took advantage of the opportunities... opportunites that would not have been there had the Eagles not farged around.

and we sure as hell were the better team in week 2.

Not really.  They outplayed us for the first half-quarter, the 4th quarter, and OT.  So, no.

If by "first half-quarter" you mean first drive, then cool... we agree.  We outplayed them enough to where there was no reason we should not have won.

I can't believe the levels of homerism being displayed here.  Way to leave out the Giants' good stats (like Toomer and Manning).  Also, if stats were everything, Peyton Manning would have won no less than 4-5 Super Bowls by now.

i wasnt alluding to that. who's the better team for the remainder of the season is something that can not be determined off of 2 weeks.

they were not the better team on sunday, and this past sunday alone. or else they would have acted and played like professionals for 60 minutes, not 40.
