Yes... when his mother was pregnant with him, she should have been smoking her ass off and if that didn't work, then yes... she should have just gone ahead and had his dumb ass vaccumed.
You obviously grew up an orphan, and for that I am truly sorry.

From PFT.com:

TEAM INVOLVEMENT WITH SCALPING CONTINUES

Last month, there was a hue and cry in the city of steak and cheese regarding the circumstances surrounding the sale of single-game tickets. Eagles' seats were available at 10:00 a.m. on June 15, and completely gone within seconds......

If you are going to bold things up, you missed the most important items in that article. Unless you are a fan of all of those other teams, which I am not. The obvious downside of such a policy we will see in the stadium this weekend. LOTS OF GIANTS FANS IN OUR STADIUM. The Eagles have made it easy for other teams fans to invade our stadium thru their own greed.

And since you did manage to find a "normal thinking" opinion, not on this message board, it would seem to vindicate the stance I have had from the get go. The Eagles are wrong and it should be stopped.

End of story.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
But to the extent that RazorGator or TicketsNow or StubHub or Ticketmaster are paying NFL franchises for the privilege of being the "official secondary marketplace", the money received by the teams indirectly is coming from transactions in which fans are paying more than face value for seats.

It's really no different than the dude with the laminated "I Need Tickets" sign paying the home team for the right to be the official scalper for the south end of the east parking lot. The team isn't directly involved in the scalping, but is profiting from the fact that the scalping is occurring.

Still, since no one has made a stink about these arguably unseemly relationships, they have blossomed and are by all appearances flourishing.

Our take? On one hand, folks have a right to run their businesses any way they see fit, within the parameters of the law. Also, scalping is a fact of life. Whenever there are events with more interest than available seats, someone will pay more than the face value of the ticket.

But when the entity that makes the initial sale of the ticket at face value is paid to promote entities through which those same tickets can be purchased at an even higher price, the process risks taking on a "feel" that the image-obsessed NFL ordinarily would try to avoid.

We're not quite sure where the line is on this issue, but we think that several of the NFL's franchises are on the wrong side of it, and we hope that someone (perhaps the next Commissioner) will give strong consideration to creating guidelines aimed at keeping teams from getting too deep into the sack with these high-tech scalpers.

I don't think anyone here has tried to say that the Eagles aren't selling tickets to scalpers......at least I honestly haven't seen any posts that would indicate otherwise.  And I haven't seen anyone try and say that it's a-ok for the Eagles to do it because we fans love paying more than face value for it.

But what a few posters have pointed out is that the Eagles aren't the only team doing it and it's not illegal.  And they're absolutely correct.

Does it suck for the fans?  Of course it does.  But do you expect a business (not a team) like the Eagles to turn down a profit just to make the fans happy?  It ain't gonna happen.  Gone are the days when anyone actually cared what their customer thought about their product as long as it was still selling.  And Eagles tickets are selling.  And given the way the world works today I can't blame the Eagles for jumping on this bandwagon.  If there's money out there to be made and you don't make it then someone else will.

Trust me, we're all very much aware of what's going on and I doubt many of us needed you to point that out.  If you want to go on some anti ticket scalping crusade, by all means, feel free.

But quit posting the same thing over and over and over again.

What they are doing is unethical.  Whether other teams are doing it, doesn't concern me.

It is also illegal for any fan living in PA to sell any ticket to any avent that occurs in PA for more than 15% over face.  So you are wrong there.

I haven't seen one thought out post yet.  Re-read the posts.  If everyone else does it it must be OK is the prevailing thought.  You don't tell me what to post, I wish you people would stop telling me what I should and shouldn't post.  If all the dumb asses who are attacking would have not done that, I would have been done long ago.  Note the time from my first two posts on this topic (one which I DID NOT START.  Then look at all of the attacks.  It was almost a full day before I responded.

Don't like it, don't read it.  But stop telling me what I should or shouldn't do.  I did get into an interesting discussion on frozen vanilla treats on the Westbrook is injured thread, so I do talk about other things.

Except I think you'll see that people continue to go to those places.  They just go outside to smoke.  From NYC to Scotland, people have basically obeyed the law everywhere, and bars aren't closing.

Its not Scotland its Ireland.  I know I worked over there for 3 months in 2005.  The pubs over there have gotten around the law by basically building bars in heated tents in their parking lots.  Vey cool places.  If you get a chance to go you should.  I lived in Cork.

Going outside to smoke when it is 50-80 degrees is OK.  When it is raining, freezing out or snowing the bars see a drastic drop in attendance.  Depends on where you are and which bars you go to.  NJ was very smart to start in April, no real uproar because it has been nice weather.

If you can find ONE TIME that I called someone a name, BEFORE they referred to me in a derogatory way, I will apologize.

But since I know that isn't the case, have fun looking.

As far as what I can do about, I've done plenty.  But I doubt anyone here either wants to hear about it or would believe it anyway.

All I want is for Eagles fans to get Eagles tickets at cost.  This is not for me, trust me.  I go to all the games I want.

LMFAO

This is great.

You think? You and I must have vastly different definitions of "great." Mine's speedballs and hookers.

Diomedes

I've got to try that someday.  At least the hookers part.  What's it cost to get a couple (clean) dirty whores to pretend they want nothing more than for me to screw one of them while she laps away at the other?

I'll pass on the idiotic drugs.

You said you don't care about other teams who have this problem or worse, yet you want to solve this for eagles fans. Well my arguement is, if scalping is alive and well and even organized through tickets brokers etc...etc... why not care about the big picture? Your not going to help the fans out by just worrying about one specific team. Its just not football, its entertainment in general...I think your argument is good and I support Eagles fans rights, but your not going to solve anything thinking that way.

It's not unethical.  They are selling tickets.  It may be unfair because they don't seem to care who they are selling them too, but it's not unethical.  What the scalpers are doing is unethical.

Do the Eagles sell their tickets to razorgator or stubhub or whoever for more than 15% over face value?  To my knowledge they don't.  The scalpers raise the ticket prices up.  Of course, I don't blame the scalper completely.  I also blame the sucker who pays $200 for $50 seats.

I'm an Eagles fan.  I haven't written the NFL Security office about the subject, actually the same two investigators that got Tice.  But taking on several teams at once is a tall order and I have been working in diffferent countries on and off for the last 30 months.  So time is a problem too.

I have had communication with Frank Rizzo Jr and Arlen Specter and both are in agreement that it is wrong to allow the scalping of their own tickets.  Especially since their on anti-scalping rule is in place and totally ignored.

I also think the subject is very interesting because you can actually track some of the tickets from Razorgator to ebay and back to the Eagles at the end of last season when no one was buying them.
