I think Reid said "ok" because he is still pissed about the hold out and doesnt want to admit that a rookie player could hold out for that long and still play good in his first ever game.

post of the week

reid would look like dope to say he played real well after all the trash talk by the eagle front office about how bunkley is really hurting himself with the holdout and they arent sure how he will catch up ect....

it also would negate the front offices attacks next time a player dares not accept the teams contract

frankly im surprised reid played him at all

I just finished watching the first-teamers' portion of the game.

Running the ball on offense looked poor, but I can't blame that on anyone except the lack of depth at running back.  Donovan does look a lot more accurate, though.

The D looked a little bit shaky stopping Droughns and the first-string running "attack" of the Browns, but they were flying to the ball and hurting people (including themselves) on the pass plays.

Jeff Garcia still looks bad so far.  Really bad.

I plan to do so this afternoon.

i think garcia is one of the better back-ups in the nfl...i chuckled at everyone burying him after last weeks game....the one thing he cant do is throw deep which is the eagles dont  have in their arsenal anyway...if hes needed this year i have confidence in him to definitely not let the team implode ala last year but also to be able to win a game

ain't that the truth.  i was thinking about how the offense will play out this year.  and i think if Donovan stays healthy, they will be productive.  but it's going to be circa 2003 when 70% of their scoring drives will have to be 8+ plays of almost perfect execution, 20% will come from a short field provided by defense/special teams and maybe they will have a few big scoring plays.

agree sir. Im still impressed with his dropback motion and the way he steps up in the pocket.

yeah, he might have some happy feet back there, but as the season progresses, Im sure the timing and feel with his receivers will come more fluently

SD_Eagle5

Garcia will be fine, he just gets happy feet early in the game and doesn't make his reads. Once he settles down he's a decent backup. He's been that way most of his career.

so our WRs for opening day are: Brown, Baskett, McCants, Glew, ?, ?

sounds like donovan with the happy feet and anxious early in games.

Garcia said in a postgame interview with Spadaro that he "hooked up with McCants a few times in training camp".  um
