hes an over the top cartoon character who acts the same way every show..all he does is have yelling fits where he says YO!

Season 1 I'd agree with that.  The last two seasons he's been pretty damn good.  Not going to flood this thread with BB clips but he's made his character way more nuanced then I ever would've expected in season 1.

aaron paul is off the charts in bb. in the last two seasons hes matched cranston if not passed him.

he may pass him but that isnt saying much for cranston...not that he set a high bar or anything...but this show isnt about acting or writing its about dumb fun tv...in that sense its very much like xfiles which gilligan was a huge part of

its as good as a pure bred "tv show" as there is, or has ever been. its not really trying to be anything more or less.

id have to separate it from friday night lights, treme and mad men and shows like that. obviously the wire isnt even part of this discussion.

i actually dont mean dumb in a negative way...like i find myself telling my girl while we are watching it how ridiculous the show is but at the same time im not hating on it...if that makes sense...i made this comparison before but in that way its EXACTLY like the shield

yes, both are very well-done shows that's main hook is a plot that continues to top itself each episode and each season

when shows like that are done right they are, to me, the best things out there. problem is its so tough to do it for more than a season or a string of episodes. the fact that BB has done it for 4 years is amazing.

MM and FNL are character, mood and setting heavy. the wire is life.

the whole going out to a bar and happening to see the dood whose duaghter just happened to overdose with his partner then a plane crashing over his house because of said father was all simpley preposterous but the last episode of season two is the first great episode of the series and the highlite of two average seasons thus far....you can kinda see tho where season three really might pick up

i see little drama in it thus far....more like unintentional comedy....but again its solid entertainment...in other words its watchable which  is more than i can say for pretty much any tv in the last ten years other than the wire and mad men

on a train right now but can't wait to watch this. Game of thrones also announced 3/31 as the date for season 3

getting better....show has some great moments....the scene where dood runs over the drug dealers was all world...but the show has long stretches of boring which in the end makes it very uneven
