Sorkin's name will always be more associated with his good AND popular work, of which "The West Wing" is the clear TV winner. Before "The Social Network," he also was famous for "A Few Good Men" on the big screen.

But my comment was saying that he will ride the coattails of "West Wing" on the small screen for quite some time. You could even add "Sports Night," because it was a hit with critics despite never getting any ratings worth shtein. He could probably make at least 2 zesty shows in a row but still be thought a genius/icon in the field.

i actually just read a story about that

simon said its trending about the same as the wire did post season 2 with all the whities, if not marginally better

he also said generation kill dvds have consistently been selling great, which is strange. basically no one watches his shows when theyre on but over time they grow and grow.

generation kill is horrible...was when it first came out...was when i tried to rewatch it

id consider it average at best

plus it had ziggy and officer colicchio (farg yourself with a 40, shteinbreath) and that counts for something

i probably have to give it one more shot but i cant get past ziggy being miscast...he gave a great performance...but you cant put him in that role after the wire...it just doesnt work

above and beyond the mis casting tho i just dnt think it was good
