next week looks absolutely badass.  The Battle of Blackwater Bay takes up like 100+ pages in the books, and they apparently spent over 5 weeks filming it, so I hope they do it justice.

Yeah the previews for it look so good. I'm kinda pissed to see Loren (at least I think they showed Loren) fighting for the Lannisters...that's a good sword to have against Stannis.

Also, very mad at Catelyn right now....though that scene did me want to see who would win between Brienne and Jaime.

game of thrones...so i assumed the two kids greyjoy burned were the farmer kids the whole time...why is he pretending he killed the stark kids, just to seem like a badass?

also, is there ever going to be any farging fighting this year? show is starting to enter walking dead category of all talk no action.

I'm pretty sure they never found the stark boys, so he did it to not seem like a failure letting them get away, and also as you said to make the northerners fear him and whatever. But the wildling chick explained to the maester that they doubled back and hid in the castle basement or wherever they are. And the preview for next week looks like a pretty epic battle.

Realllllly hoping Stannis can breach the walls, but I love the line Tyrion had in the preview..."Those are brave men out there...let's go kill them"


The next book being called A Storm of Swords, I imagine there will be some battles in that season as well, even though I haven't read the books. Are the rumors of splitting the book into two seasons true?

yeah they're splitting it in two.  the next book is far and away the best.  i've been disappointed by a few detours they've made this year because i think they've needed to speed things up due to the lack of episodes and the amount of material (Stannis, Mel, and Davos, for example are WAY more fleshed out by now in the books). The next two episodes should have tons of shtein in them that should be pretty cool though.

Book 3 being given 20 episodes should do it justice.

I literally think the entirety of the next episode is the battle at King's Landing, and then the 10th episode wraps up everyone elses storylines (Dany and Jon should finally be given interesting things to do) + the fallout from the battle.
