That's my guess too, and it kind of pisses me off that I know that only ebcasue I've heard from readers of the books how much of a role those two play in the story. I'd rather not know shtein and spend the week wondering what the farg just happened.

Yeah I have not read the books but I think the fact they showed the orphans running into the house was foreshadowing.  Also the fact the bodies were burned.

Those magicians are creepy as farg.

they have veered off the tracks pretty hard the last few episodes in relation to book two (specifically with jaime and jon) but whatever.  it's entertaining but some things in this episode bothered me (not to do a whole book/tv comparison, but bookJaime wouldn't kill his cousin for his own self interest like he did in the show...there's an escape attempt but it's with Alton, not by killing him).

the qarth stuff is fine since dany's story in book 2 sucked, but I don't like the Jon thing, and it makes Jaime even more unlikeable.  Jaime does a lot of bad shtein in his life, but it's normally for a reason outside of his own self interest (even trying to kill Bran).

From what I've read, the show has managed to make nearly everybody more likable than they were in the books except for Joffery.


And yeah Jon Snow is acting like a complete idiot at the moment. Looks like we'll get to meet Mance Rayder next week though.
