They've hired writers.  That's what worries me.  Other than the flush of acclaim, that is.

yeah, that's right.  i knew i read something that made me cringe.

the only way hiring writers for this show is a good thing is if they are clones of charlie, mac, and glen

They'd do pretty well having Danny DeVito write, as long as he's drunk.

There's hope.  Some great shows have had writers added/replaced, and maintained being funny.  Not many, but some.  Okay.  I can't name any.  But I'm sure MDS can.

off the top of my head:
seinfeld lost larry david after season 6 or 7 and remained funny until the end
entourage lost larry charles after season 2, season 3 was still good
the simpsons had a number of different writers throughout its run, and was funny season 3-10ish
arrested development also lost a lot of writers, though not the main two, after season 2 and was still funny

normally a key to a show going to the shteinter is the showrunner leaving, i.e. the person who created the show in the first place. often times, a person will create a show and run it for a year or two, if successful they will get coaxed into producing and created other shows and someone else will come in and run it. this isnt the case with its always sunny, so dont worry your whiny christian ass off.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

no doubt.  i haven't even seen season 4 yet.  finished 3 a few months ago and it's still every bit as good as when it started.  i'm excited to see what happens in season 4 with stringer gone.

stringer was my man...sucks that the only reason he was killed off was because hbo has said they werent gonna renew the series....that episode was filmed as the series finale

4>2>1>3

the character development in four is unlike anything thats ever been done on televison...its unreal how much and well the characters are changed from episode 1 thru the end

what amazing is season four is even better the second time you watch it knowing what you know and being able to watch the transformation you can appreciate it even more
