Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I'd watch the last 3. The 3rd to last has a lot going on, the last 2 episodes are all over the place and the 3rd gives you all the backstory you need. Middle of the season was pretty pointless.

Watched Agents of SHIELD last night in an attempt to get a little sci-fi fix.  Bleh.  It might have been somewhat enjoyable if they didn't try so hard to be funny and they incorporated the really awful "humor" that is usually reserved for prime time dramas like Grey's or Bones.  I'm guessing Middle America was loving it but I thought it was really lacking.  But I'm a glutton for punishment when it comes to sci-fi so I'll probably give it another episode or 2 to try and win me over.  Not sure why because even if I end up liking it, it will probably go the way of other sci-fi shows and be off the air after 2 seasons.

And because I was feeling exceptionally lazy last night, I didn't bother changing the channel when some show called The Goldbergs (or was it burgs?  MDS, help me out here.) came on afterwards.  Never heard of it before, but this might be the worst show I've ever seen.  I guess it's the new That 70s Show but about 1000000000000x worse.    And that says something because I thought That 70s Show was only ok at best.  It was funny but I never really felt like I was watching people in the 70s, just people who were dressed like they were in the 70s.  This show is pretty much the same except that it takes place in the 80s and isn't the least bit funny.

Does that Agents of Shield have the Avengers in it or is it just the agents?

Only the agents.  Maybe the Avengers get introduced later on, but I didn't get that feeling from watching last night.  I think there were 2 actual references to the Avengers.  1 was in the opening scene when they showed a kid looking in a toy store window and all the Avengers action figures were on display.  The other was a reference to "The War of New York" that the Avengers fought in sometime in the past.

Since I'm not a comic book nerd, I don't have a clue what the original back story is on this and if the show is following that story line or just making up something entirely new.

The show itself wasn't bad.  I liked the story in general but it has some bad elements to it that, for me, really detracted from everything else.  It was the cheeky humor that really did it.  I hate that shtein.  Squaw got a kick out of it, but she's as MA as they come when it comes to that stuff.
