Had an hour to kill before the games started tonight so I watched the 'Game of Thrones' pilot. It was a little slow but that's to be expected since most pilots are used to set up the initial storyline and introduce you to the characters. The midget porn and gratuitous female nudity were welcomed.

i never was either until I found out Bruce Willis killed his brother.  Then I just felt sorry for him.

It will probably take 4 episodes or so to get fully immersed in the story/familiar with all of the characters but I'm pretty sure it will be worth it.  It was pretty faithful to the book.

i watched the norm macdonald sports show this morning and laughed my ass off.

saw it last night.  so hit or miss.  the stuff where he's just sticking to a script like the computer thing about the woman choking on a sandwich was awful, but the mike vick thing and the rest of the stuff in the end was funny.

i just love that guy and how he doesn't bother with a fancy setup. it's just boom, filthy joke.

i saw last weeks and farging loved it. he was on howard the week before, straight funny as shtein.

norm is hysterical and the show is at times very funny. he needs a radio show or some kind of talk show to just make jokes and play off people.

i would honestly take this show, move it to every night at midnight after colbert, go to a 3 act structure with 1 being a guest and get seth meyers to host. basically make it a sports version of the daily show. wouldnt that work?

the killing is getting worse by the episode but you cant stop now can you?

and ill say that generally episodes 2-5ish on heavily serialized shows are character heavy and light on plot. around this upcoming episodes or next weeks these shows historically kick it into high gear.

kind of like how the wire used 4 episode to get you in, except the wire's set up episodes were better than any single episode of any other show ever

it has nothing to do with that...its just getting less good....its not appreciably better than law and order in its prime....its more fun to watch cause you can follow it to its conclusion...but in terms of writing acting and especially story there isnt a huge difference...so many things happened on sundays episode that bordered on being cheesily convienant as a law and order would do and i didnt expect this show to get like that

yeah ive seen it....its actually pretty damn good but even tho its doc i felt closer to wire characters which were fictional...thats not a knock on brick city but a testament to how ridiculous the wire is
